Interesting Stokey re the 7pm time and well spotted too. I too would have said a daytime post would have been more the norm, particularly for the institutional investors.
Here's another twist though. They could make some sort of announcement during business hours on the 10th (or earlier that week), and then the 7pm roadshow later that day gives them the opportunity to put more meat on the bones of the earlier announcement.
Our glasses are both 'half full' for the 10th either way Stokey.
ThisTimeNextYeer In relation to your 17.25 post I noticed that the 10 November roadshow is at 7pm which struck me as an unusal time for an online event. The advantage of that time is that it allows for an announcement to be made before the markets open on the 11 November and perhaps more importantly gives them 12 hours to consider the news. This would make trading on the 11 November interesting.
Good posts dawski37 & well balanced.
OC could float on out, VS could simply float on in, and we could even use the same tugs for both jobs for a double job discount. Last man close the dock gate (behind VS hopefully).
Thanks earlier too Mr D for your pluses and minuses post. It was a good balanced view of where we are just now.
As for JW and the 10th November. I can't see him having this big information day without some big information. Surely it wouldn't just to be told what we've already been told (with a few figures thrown in).
I'm envisaging something positive before, or more than likely on 10th November.
Excellent find,Mr D -I hazard a guess and gamble that Viking Sky is NOT leaving us ..as you say no destination shown and it will be cost effective to leave the gates open after our Canadian visitor departs for the St Lawrence ..BUT I could be wrong here and stand to be corrected ..If per chance Viking Sky is going into the BBD ..that will be fantastic news ..and long awaited and well deserved for the workforce ..just what we need prior to 10th November !!
ThisTimeNextYeer In relation to your 16.29 post if I recall the Viking Sky departure date has been unchanged for some time so I think it is its planned departure date. With Oceanex Connaigra its planned departure date has been put back on a couple of ocassions so I am not sure is it will be going into the dry dock but as I am not an expert in ship repairs I could be wrong.
According to Belfast Harbour page Viking Sky is leaving the Ship Repair Quay (SRQ) on 31/10/2020. It also shows Oceanex Connaigra leaving Belfast Building Dock (BBD) on 31/10/2020.
OC was expected to leave sometime soon as it's been in dock sometime now and had a lot of work done on it, but does anyone know the situation re Viking Sky ?
I was hoping we were going to be holding onto Viking Sky for more work before she left. I wonder are we ? ?
Could Viking Sky be moving into the BDD when Connaigra goes out. ? ? After all both are scheduled to leave at 12 noon on 31/10/2020, or could this just be a coincidence ? To fuel this thought even further, the Belfast Harbour page isn't showing a next port destination for Viking Sky. Hopefully VS isn't leaving us but simply dry docking now for some work (as she's been afloat up to now in the SRQ).
The anticipation and excitement.
Anyone any thoughts. . . . or even better. . . . any knowledge on this ?
