This company is biting at the bit. Grrrrr.
Volcker rule wasn't completely repealed, but it was scaled back to enable some prop trading.
That enabled SVB to trade the LT US bonds, but they were unable to do forex trading,
b/c of restrictions on foreign investments. The consequence of this was a strong dollar.
Why did SVB crash?
SVB had plenty of capital, but they locked alot up in LT bond investments w/o sufficient yield.
Regulations force banks to own a certain amount of bonds.
SVB were playing it safe, but safety is a mirage in US markets.
In theory, SVB should've avoided the bond market altogether until the rates went up.
They could've stayed in cash and just played forex for a short period.
However, regulations forced them to buy bonds.

I just had a new H2 ready combi installed, as I said before. I doubt now that H2 will be put into local networks, leading straight into people's homes b/c of the safety issues and insurance liabilities.
My installer admitted to me that gas boilers were on their way out and everything will go electric, just like I described before. He's even switching to an electric induction hob himself. However, massive power requirements mean massive bills if you want to rely on your govt approved power monopolies for new nuclear power stations and so on.
Imo, the best long term option is to go off-grid as much as possible.
HFCs are a stepping stone to that end for the majority of individuals;
Geothermal systems are the best option for small communities, where it's feasible to do so.
In fact, I expect they will just replace everything with the new composite plastic pipes , and when I say "pipes" I include the main pipes for towns and cities. Although, there are types of steel that can be used to safely transport hydrogen. These steel pipes are made in Germany.
https://pipesourceuk.com/hydrogen-ready
https://wiki2.org/en/Hydrogen_pipeline_transport
All the old iron piping will be replaced in the next few years, and I expect copper will be too.
The demand for oil to make the required materials will go through the roof as the new grids get rolled out,
not just in the UK, but around the world.
Where will they be made?
For the H2-ready plastic pipes, I'd suspect it'll be China, and perhaps that's why they are ordering so much oil on a continuous basis. For the H2-ready steel, it's Germany.
https://www.energynetworks.org/newsroom/replacing-britains-old-gas-pipes-from-safeguarding-the-public-to-laying-the-foundations-of-a-zero-carbon-gas-grid
Looks like this sp drop is more to do with the finance sector than the oil sector.
Somebody sneezed and fat fingered a trade in the US, I guess..
Now everybody's caught a cold.
Anyway, oil remains fairly high and China will still be buying.

As for gas, that's taken a major tumble, so that makes it cheaper to reform to hydrogen now.
Home H2 Fuel Cell market looks to be gathering momentum in the UK.
Keep all the dangerous stuff outside, get off the electric grid, don't pay any 'Net Zero' pollution taxes. Wtg.
Just found this Panasonic HFC. Looks just like I imagined an exterior home HFC would be like:

Miles5 apparently wants censorship b/c he can't win an argument.
Points you made:
1. "Horrific" - Yes, I can be to my enemies, so don't go there.
2. "Brexit loving" - I neither love or loathe Brexit.
The facts are that:
[i]. David Cameron chose to go ahead with it becasue UKIP was a threat to the Tories,
[ii] The majority voted of UK for it, but there was some dubious private counting involved (in Scotland),
[iii] Brexit was never fully carried out, because most politicians are on a gravy train of one sort or another.
Therefore, the lack of progress with Brexit has exposed the hypocrisy and corruption within the Tory govt.
Whilst the so-called Brexit negotiations were being carried out and the UK's armed forces were being scaled back, the EU was pushing for a military union with the UK. Also, a "Common Purpose" agenda was put into action leading up to the Pandemic. None of this was indicative of a puch for legit independence from the EU.
[iv] Brexit will certainly be reversed if any left-wing party gets into power.
3. "COVID a hoax" - As I have personally experienced the disease twice, once just recently, I can assure you that it is not a hoax. I never said it was a hoax, but I admit that I did say that statistics were being manipulated, and that Matt Han**** was manipulating the public - and that has been confirmed via WhatsApp.
Also, I did say that the predecessor to the SARS-CoV2 virus likely came from a cave full of bats, eight years before the outbreak, because some Chinese miners were exposed to a similar SARS virus and they were sent to a Wuhan Hospital. Samples were sent to the (PLA controlled) Wuhan University lab and experimented upon until the lab leak which first broke out onto the campus and then spread internationally. This has been confirmed by whistleblowers and even defectors from China.
4. "BNP, EDL, ...Trump" - hold no lasting interest for me politically.
I never financially supported any of their political campaigns.
I have spoken out against some of their policies and practices.
I am not interested in them politically log term,
b/c they have unwise vested and nefarious interests of their own.
However, both Establishments certainly fear them all,
b/c these groups have helped to expose crimes inthe UK and US crimes that get covered-up by govts.
As for ILLEGAL migrants:
[i]. Why don't you consider the LEGAL migrants that have made many sacrifices,
in order to live in the UK, whilst following all rules required?
[ii]. Are these migrants worth less to you because they aren't as pathetic and helpless?
[iii]. Is it okay to forgive foreign criminals of high crimes (like rape, murder, theft, terrorism,... etc) ,
just because they entered the UK on a small boat, w/o papers?
Miles, sounds like you're suffering from piles. Filtered.
Why would anyone have to apologize for brexit. Leaving that unelected debtridden monstrosity was the best thing we ever did. Just a shame we're still being punished for it.
re Ukraine you are of course totally wrong. Even MSM were willing to give some facts out at the beginning.
You've just been programmed Miles3, hoping you do get to jump out soon you've nothing to add of your own self.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/mar/05/ukraine-bugged-call-catherine-ashton-urmas-paet
panwsacrifice: you are really making sure that pasajerodeltoro is in fine company here... not only do we have Brexit apologists, but also horrifically braindead people who fall for Kremlin propaganda and complete bs conspiracy theories on how the Euromaidan was a CIA/US operation.... the sheer levels of stupidity on here are absolutely shocking... really hope this stock gets better before jumping out and avoid the company of such trash like you and pasajerodeltoro.
Agree pasajerodeltoro and have emailed IGAS several times to ask them to look into farming into projects abroad to regain market interest.
With the hatred of oil/gas co's in the UK they're just a value trap now imho.
We've got co's on the market with great potential but no cash. They could likely farm into MSMN's 2nd Australian licence for a song as an example, PRD would likely love a partner in Morocco and there must be a lot more plays that punters here could think of.
Needs a forward looking ceo imo rather than this interim one.
Not much love for IGAS today.
Funny thing about Brexit we had about the same percentage turn down Europe as Ukraine did in their referendum in 2014.
Brits on both sides of that debate need to watch out if there's any demonstrations encouraged to get back in.
That's what happened in Ukraine. Two new foreign TV stations opened up and immediately started telling people that there were demonstrations in Kiev that were being suppressed violently by the Russian leaning duly elected President and directed the nation to go there and join the throng.
Unfortunately for Ukrainian's CIA officers were on the roof of the opposition parties building and started taking pot shots at the crowd (admitted to by the U.S. Ambassador at the time). The President was blamed in the media and chased out the country and the rest is history.
Denied by MSM history but still the truth.
pasajerodeltoro: Can you please STFU? You are making it obvious only horrific, Brexit-loving, anti-woke (whatever woke means), govt-bashing, gammon, Karen types are into this stock... You probably also believe COVID was a hoax and that true indigenous Brits are getting 'replaced' with immigrants. Go and find your closest BNP/EDL rally and unload your toxic bile over there while getting your **** handed back to you by the police. Alternatively, move to the US and join Trump's crew in the deep South.
For everybody else... the fundamentals of this company look GOOD, the company is undervalued and yes, it might take longer than anticipated to see a bounce back, but it will come.
Satis iam facta sunt sacrificia.
Da nobis debita nostra iusta.
Fracking is suppressed b/c of relatively few politically powerful nimbys
out in the countryside, who aren't willing to take any risks.
These virtue signalling lilly-livered liberals reject self-risk,
but accept that plebs they employ take on risk for them.
They are happy for you to take the risk of bringing in millions of illegal migrants into Britain,
subsidize housing for them using YOUR taxes, inside energy guzzling hotels.
Then, after all that, they expect capped energy prices in our rigged market..
and cheap energy bills !!
At this rate, I expect an anti-windfall tax energy strike within the next few years.
We know that all the politicians want is YOUR money,
and I'd expect them to start heavily milking renewables also..
even wind and solar !! Similar things happening with EVs and "road tax".
Fracking Auto spell is a cnt.
Gla
I think franking in UK will not happen simply because there is too much housing.
I rather lean of the current fundamentals of this company and see it under valued.
Many thanks, Miles5!
I hope you are correct in huge lap to up with Igas. If rally begins, I'll be back. Like I wrote, I sell-buy about 15x last year.
Sadly miss big jump, 600%.
It was ONLY due expected fracking waiting and nothing else. If it would be about something else, we'd seen jumps now, with superb results.
Well, we do not see them.
Almost Zero interest in this company.
I do not recall we breed dogs or sheep together, Miles. Calling unknown person a turd, you know.
I come from EU and had invest my money to your economy! So, show little respect.
Thank you!
We are going to buy huge stocks of shale gas from America where there have never been a substantial tremor caused by fracking the same with Canada and other places when will slick Rick alter his polices this country needs to wake up America Was heading for ression. Till it took the bull by the horns we need to dothis
JppJ clearly you care enough to reply lmao. I am very happy turds like you are going to miss out on the imminent rally of this stock.
I really care for posters rampers. Chamelon1. Goid luck with your ramping.
Looking pretty grim in the UK. Even the con-members are talking of energy renationalisation!
https://community.oilprice.com/topic/32530-energy-armageddon/
- I'm all for that if it only applied to bill providers, but it won't be just that!
- It'd be a Chavez rerun, but w/o much substance in comparison.
$41/boe mean operational costs means a very tight margin.
If it were just oil involved and no woke government, we'd get 4.65%,
but what we really get is 3%-ish b/c of woke windfall taxes that will be used to prop up wind farms
that have to be turned off if it's too windy.
The profit is nothing compared to the real inflation
that has occured, which has been about 17% over the last year.
Everybody is struggling thanks to Sunak's Wokenomics,
and I suspect the same is true across the whole oil and gas industry,
which is why I'd expect another surge in oil prices towards the latter half of the year.
Bye bye
I just sold all my shares. GLA. With profit! After some 15th buy ...
Market does not see much in this company. Say what ever you like. Current SP tells all. Nothing much to add ...
