I think you mentioned he reads the chat pages himself so if he knows you and me by our "call signs",he would realise we,re not spread-betters but investors and believers who need to spread the word and need that reassurance not only for ourselves but some of the other posters who look at us as "senior members" maybe!!!!
Maybe some confidence-boosting confirmation on the fully-financed bit as perhaps the current drift is fear they may do another placing? Other than that i think the production figures would be more sensible than the take-over hype, unless theres something in it. Also,a money where the mouth is directors purchase wouldnt go amiss, always a great restorer of confidence that one!
I,d say that just about covers it mate other than the takeover rumour that never went anywhere maybe? I reckon they need to employ us to market them!!!! Let me know how it goes bud, actually got my average down to 39.25,which would be good under normal circumstances, but in hold mode. Knocked out the SOLO on that rise, tiny profit but will have another look post-dilution,the angels will keep as think they,ve got some promise bar the awful balance sheet!! I,ve taken it as read on the main ones that we,re fully-financed on drills etc till the end of 2010 and i think the most important thing they need to do is update on production to keep the shareholders happy!
Fair enough, like you say they come and go and they show themselves up with their stupidity! Oh well have a good day and just imagine the plonkers we,ll be contending with when they really start motoring!!!
morning bud,had a quick scan over our favourite birds of prey and looks like a bit of aggro there? I,ll do my bit but it looks like the main problem has disappeared?
Okay no worries mate, yes a lot of speckies there and the odd knowall too but trying not to get too serious about my current paper loss(boo hoo!), look forward to updates, didnt realise agm time was a closed period for director deals, just offer periods,oh no there i go again.......
Quite, over 50p would be comfortable for the time being, have been on there a few times today attempting to explain investor support, good corporate governance(no idea what it means but its true as thats what my broker told me and sounds good!) and the fact that there have been successful placings NOT rights issues or open offers and the difference therein but deaf ears i fear! Cant you suggest DB buys a few himself, that normally gets them going a bit!
I see the other one is now full of 3 quid takeover targets, i reckon you,ve started quite a debate there mate! Personally, i,m reasonably open-minded but need to sell something end of next week to cover an open position bacause i,ve been topping up everytime they go below 40 and so although i,m going to stay top-heavy,i may need to knock out a few on a small rise as being top heavy is one thing but being so top heavy that you,re totally unbalanced..... just wish they,d have a quicker move to the mid-50,s as thats suerely where they ought to be now!! plans are fluid but overall, i,m happy to be top heavy and looks like there was a plug in the independent at the weekend...catch up in the week mate
Cheers bud, have been quite active on that board today having finally worked out how to copy and paste! Look forward to more info bud, have a good weekend and will check in from time to time!
Okay bud, thanks for that, probably best keeping this one for the heavy discussions if you know what i mean,as i said it was a bit random and bothered me a bit since all my research has been pointing towards a when not if scenario and i,ve got too much in them to be taking all or nothing risks,as opposed to timescale risks. Looking at that post again do you reckon its worth mentioning it to DB as you,ve been in touch before or just forget about it?
Easy to get in a flap about these things as it were, been fighting the good fight if you have a scroll through, just one concern,a totally random post at 9.51 which was unanswered and unsubstantiated,so i checked it out and i,m aware of cambridge and tomco as i got caught in a small way on them, but the connection is a name mike thompson who was in the chair at the former, worried me a bit if i,m honest hence smoke and mirrors here. My broker assures me we have investor support, production and "good corporate governance" whatever that means but can you post me back here just to check we,re okay, code it up however you like...
As i,ve just posted there, surely when they start producing in decent quantities, they,ll get noticed and hopefully bought out, dont despair mate!
to be honest with you mate,if anyone wants to sell early thats their problem not ours. Its a bigger bird than the confines of an lse ramp if you follow me. Dont let it get to you mate. When we,re topslicing at 80,the hordes of "i,ve been holding these since 39p" will be all over the board and we,ll be sitting on a 100% profit!!!
Havent received any complaints so far, since i,ve been on these, only abodong i think but he,s a hawker too!
cheers for the info, targeting topups at very early 40,s, at the very least we know its good for 60?
cheers for the link,as you,ve said all along, one day...........more importantly,i noticed a cryptic between the lines on our favourite one earlier from you,are you able to cryptically expand on that here without breaching a confidence of course, i,m on hold mode there but ever keen to top up if it looks even better than i currently think?
Dont think it,ll do any harm,a bit of publicity maybe?
shes definately lifting off that nest!
it was in the weekend ft referring to whatever david scwarz was punting for a monday morning rise and he probably flogged them by 10am!
So they,ve got Digby on board, perhaps people will start buying or better still he can arrange a takeover with one of his connections! On the other one, seem to be clipping ahead today,i take it the 60/80 is forgotten, still tempted to topslice at that but know i,d regret it afterwards!
I see that idiot has been removed,i nearly posted him after that threat to someone or other but by the time i looked again, hes gone and rightly so! I did mention it on there that if you sign up on their website, you get all the releases, i,m assuming you,ve got those already? Took my holding to a less scary 60k of shares and just in profit now, unlike last week! It remains my biggest holding and am going to see where it goes from hereon. I really cant see these wild estimates of £2-odd can you, having said that, those gkp things went from 5p to a quid recently and if i,m honest i,d rather topslice and lock in profits if we go anywhere near 60p or do you reckon we need to employ those nerves of steel that sat on awful losses to sitting on enormous profits if/when we get there?
has the spread always been so wide on this one mate!? On the other one, keeping a low profile there today as the greed will no doubt create more over-exuberence and i cant be bothered with it! Original strategy, just get my money back, next strategy top slice or reduce when we got to where we appear to be now,new strategy i really dont know-having gone through weeks of constant averaging down and "fear",sorely tempted to see where it goes. The most i ever saw them was at £1.20 but that was surely linked to the higher oil price? Do you reckon we,ll exceed the 60/80 bracket we talked of before? feel free to post me here mate! james
phew, relieved you,ve posted me on here mate! Yes these have bobbed around a bit the last few days, but hey theres always the divi! Yes theres some illiterate muppet on there trying to wind me up as we speak,so might have to swap strategies on here instead for a while, talking of which my sentiment has changed on that topslicing target too mate!
Not really that bothered as theres a yield and i,ve only got a few of them, hawk however really needs to get off that nest as its my biggest holding and i keep buying the damn things everytime they go down a penny,so i,ve got far too many of them now! Or maybe its a good thing as i,ve now built up an amazing stake for when they get taken out at 2 quid,we wish!
I,m so glad i bought into these last week, not! Any reason for todays drop other than the fact i bought them, please tell me they,ve gone ex-div or something to explain the current drop? By the way, hawk has had more good news and theres lots of bid speculation and crazy numbers being bandied about, i,d just be happy to see them back over 40 in the short term!
