Longwait,
"A quarter of a million pounds seems a lot to pay for front brake-pads, Double."
Absolutely. That's why I 'cancelled the order' !
No, but more seriously, don't you appreciate a bit of irony? Because the people who mind the 'bots' which screw up our shares probably do worry about the cost of some brakepads.
"Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if that's more than you paid for the vehicle itself!"
By an order of magnitude. Though for a day a few years ago, it was probably one of the most valuable rangerovers on the planet, when following my divorce I moved certain 'assets' from where I lived to the town where I moved to. A sensible person would have hired Brinksmat.
But of course I'm not a sensible person, which is why I'm not selling any of my Hurricane shares right now.

Oh dear my poor Daltry and barnyards a bit bitter are we that I probably hold more shares than you for half the price?
I'll be sure to inform you when I reach a million but try not to burst a blood vessel lol.
Anyway I thought the filter button was for disruptive abusive posters - but filter away I'm sure I'll struggle to sleep at night thinking about it lmfao haha
" Looks like someone bought 1.7m+ shares, this caused the bots to have a hissyfit with 25 good size buys then the 1.7m+ buy was cancelled."
Sorry, it was my fault. Placed the order, but remembered I have to get the front brake-pads in my 16-year-old rangerover replaced. Phoned Norauto (the French equivalent of Kwikfit) for a quote, so decided to cancel buying those share 'cos I'm a bit short of cash right now.
Certainly looked odd after hours. Looks like someone bought 1.7m+ shares, this caused the bots to have a hissyfit with 25 good size buys then the 1.7m+ buy was cancelled. Someones playing games
''in here today for 370k shares looks to be a good time to get some''
oh my days we all be doomed now
blah blah I bet my ******* is bigger than yours blah blah
simple fact is nobody actually frigging cares how many you bought mate but I do know one thing for certain which is all of these bragging narcissists will never tell their trusty herd when they are about to sell
don't believe me just ask that SIPPn00b fella
anyway that's 2 more planks for my filter list :)
I and some other posters have been following the 'after-hours' trades for some time, mcadder, and there did use to be a regular net buy of a million or more shares, but forgive my scepticism about today's buys.
First, why would anyone buy 25 lots of 20,471 shares?
Secondly, did the same person make the purchase of 20,714 shares?
Thirdly, is he dyslexic as well as incredibly forgetful (unlike Double and me, who are occasionally absent-minded - a classic mark of genius)?
As for the purchase of 1,730,000 shares: it was canceled.
Yes, of course. The whole fooking world is seriously interested in your personal finances.
Next you'll be telling us how many times you visit the loo in the morning.
We're so, so, so, interested....FFS
Do you publish all your trades on facebook as well, or the other gr sites where you get 'likes' ?
In here today for 370k shares looks to be a good time to get some imo - some unusual large after hours trades this evening too not sure what's going on there lol
Daltry: The reason I post my trade quantities to 4 decimal points and say 'Just bought' is entirely for the benefit of small time phkwits like you. So that anyone, if they have any doubts, can actually look at the trades going through and SEE my trade. Phucket knows why you could not just do that!?! I know there are those who don't like posting trades but that is their prerogative. Personally, I think it adds clarity and honesty. I currently hold north of 500k shares and am showing a substantial loss. However, I strongly believe in HUR and can hold indefinitely if required. Although my gut feeling is that current SP's will soon be a wish for. Anything could happen at any time...and one thing for sure. Something positive will hapen eventually so long as targeted off loads continue.
