Outrageous drop yesterday, unreal if you look at the fundamentals of this company - only last year this was paying dividends lol
Anyone confirm the twitter post about a possible bid or is it fictitious?
GMS was established in the UAE in 1977 and has successfully expanded its fleet and geographical coverage, from a local operation in Abu Dhabi to become the number one player in the Middle East, and is now the largest operator of advanced self-propelled self-elevating support vessels (SESVs) in the world. The Group listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 2014.
GMS’ assets provide a stable platform for the delivery of a wide range of services performed by the Group’s clients throughout the lifecycle of offshore oil, gas and renewable energy projects. The vessels are capable of operations in the Middle East, South East Asia, West Africa and Europe.
The Group constructs and maintains its vessels at its yard in Abu Dhabi; its extensive new build programme in recent years has made the GMS fleet the most sophisticated in the industry. The current core fleet comprises 13 SESVs.
Multinational oil company come in with a bid of 100 million, they would have to be mad not to at this level. Net assets and equity are 800 million dollars the market cap is 27 million
Look at the drop in FTC. That again was overdone and now is starting to recover. Yep sh*t happens but if the company can negotiate a deal then serious gains to be made.
Will bounce hard tomorrow, NAV over $400M bargain basement. GL the believers
Just closed at a 52 week low after the fed raised rates. I would expect more downward pressure in the morning.
a lot of drivel being posted here...from the fundamentals page the market cap is about $140 million and the net asset value is shown as in excess of $400 million
Cavendish, have you spotted your glaring massive miscalculation yet?
Or was it a deliberate mistake?
Here`s a clue from your data post.......
Shares in Issue 350m
Market Cap. £114m
It was off book.
No you can’t I trade Dma all day everyday and once the uncrossing trade (UT) has been executes this is the last trade of the day you can place. There is a 5 minute window from 16:35-16:40 where you can place a trade at the uncrossing price only to clear any market Order. That 10p was 100% a delayed trade could of been a by from earlier but based on how much stock all the market makers had its most likely a sell. Further fall tomorrow likely
Goodflyingduck,
I agree at 16.36 someone with DMA can place a trade.Seen it many times before.
Its impossible to know for sure but I think I have a good idea.
Lol the ignorance on trades is incredible ! The market shuts at 16:35 after the closing auction and any trades posted after this are delayed and worked in the market. Stop talking xxx and as I said you could buy 300k shares at 8.22 just before close with market maker peel3
It's a worked trade.
Is a delayed sell you could buy 300k at 8.23 just before close. These are on the way to 4-5p range
On open the price was 20p. That was where the market valued the company based on the news. Then the panic selling took hold and here we are at 8.5p. People are scared to hold and this make for unseen opportunities. The company stated in the RNS that they are addressing the situation and that expected contracts will be signed in early 2019 which will overcome the banking problems.
Buy now or kick yourself later. Net assets are 120p. Strip out the debt and that still leaves a nice juicy number
Buy at the end that is why they wanted them :-))
$830 million dollars, market cap £28 million
Bought 20,000 more shares at 8.25p. Big big rally tomorrow and Friday.
They wanted all of mine in the closing seconds and they can have them for 20p
8.22p fed news at 7pm UK time
.
Thank you Brainer for your public spirited kind heartedness in warning us all of our impending doom. Your work is done.
Please close the door on your way out.
History of afrn, nwr, lnd, jpr and many more says, the company couldn’t warn you in any better word
Lets hope this isn't another Afren moment!
To get back up to 12p lol
Gonna be exciting.
Brainer,
Your so over dramatic, where does it say the word 'serious' and what profit or covenant warning is not serious.
It means it needs the banks to play ball or they won't get paid and they'll end up getting pennies on the pound and having to sell a fleet of old vessels. Banks like repayments not 2nd hand ships.
I was just a post about them, Standard life Peru Lombard I’ve watched shares where the above had a 3%+ holding before and they tend to sell on first warning as soon as they can, so I’m expecting a few tr1 and delayed trades. Could explain the sudden supply of shares and a big part of the drop.
Maybe them dumping...
