Friel took and is taking a chance
Equi, you are spot on about previous success not being easily replicable; but, why would Mr Friel have spent paying a considerable amount of his own cash for a premium for FAST's shares, to provoke a switch from oil to pharma - a significant investment of his own cash and time (as well as that of others) that would have indubitably, quietly entailed much research and deal-making before this much-discussed and exciting new direction?
I'm hopeful still up in the air. Harry was on the board of Merrion pharmaceuticals until recently and that looks like a bust. Very hard the replicate a winning model
Well, as our new president founded Shire, I suspect that is the case. Now, if he could get our mkt cap to 1 or 2% of Shire's within the next couple of years, I'll be thrilled. When my main holding actually manages to release some positive news I'll be in a position to bring a load of cash here, I just hope that we will still be trading at these levels by then, no doubt I'll have missed the boat sadly, just have to be grateful for the tiny holding I have here already...
Buliding a facility in Meath for 400 workers.. I was looking at the history of Shire and i think they are trying to copy the same model here
Not sure whether the no is that you don't have any view on the future prospects of the company, you agree that the poster isn't a major player, or you don't support the management! So, again, no what?????
Sorry wrong posting.
1.3 trillion BIR traded in the last 2 days. Is Fairfax selling? Hopefully putting in a bottom
Which part of No it is that you are failing to understand ?
No, what?
Harry did in Shire and what was achieved at Cove by Friel. Both working together with other huge industry names and a gap in the market that they can fill. IMO this is a true buy and hold stock for big gains as time rolls on.
No
on prospects and future took a small punt here myself see how it goes by no mean big player mainly backing management
If you look back, thinice, you will see that I answered Radar's question! And told him that noone knows! I gained my holding here in the 6pm range when a cheeky limit order or two filled following the big drop when the bad news came out. It's all absolute uncertainty right now but I am happy to wait until next week to find out what happens, it won't make any difference to me, my holding here is relatively small but if CF and his gang get us anywhere near a pound after the 8-1 consolidation I will be thrilled! Don't care if it takes 10 years, I reckon with the mgmt we have in place we are in line for happy days, probably not in the short term but in the long term I will be happy to see Harry Stratford work his magic for us. Don't forget CF was willing to buy about 30% higher than where we are now, I doubt it was because he fancied throwing away a few hundred thousand quid!!!
out a 44k buy from yesterday. I think the only reason it hasn't risen is holders getting placing shares selling to gain warrants. That should stop late this week as money will have to be in by then. I think then this starts trending north.
To be fair, some of us have been around for some 2-3 years (Radar included). We thought we were buying into an oil and gas play and there was a time when it looked quite interesting. Then came the demise of the oil price, a duster in Morocco, a fall in the share price and the departure of our expertise. Some of us attended a presentation by the company where we were lied to by the then FD Will Holland and within months, we were re-branded a healthcare company (largely through a premature slip by Cathel Friel to a reporter in December 2014). And... here we are. Some of us LT holders are nursing heavy losses and are now invested in something we don't really understand. That said, I am optimistic from what I have read that we can make a good go of it with orphan products, a fair amount of cash in the bank and some of the best brains in the pharmaceutical industry, but there is no guarantee that this will be taken up by the market on 19th and I share the view that we should be cautious. To assert that the price will rise (or fall) by any percentage following re-listing is unfounded. As someone said earlier, no-one knows. I hope it does rise, but I have heard no convincing argument. Whatever you think of someone's posting history, the initial question is entirely valid. If there was a realistic prospect that this will rise on relisting by a significant percentage, it would not be possible to buy at 3p now. Maybe the price will rise later this week and early next.... Happy to discuss however... After all, we have a week! Best wishes ThinIce
Having had a quick glance at your posting history, you are quite right, you were not one of the Quindell low lifes. But I knew your username was familiar, so it was good to re-read a couple of your little posts spreading your joy and happiness here at FAST some months ago!
For someone with 2,400 posts (which I'll probably be at by about, oh, 2035 at the earliest!) I AM actually rather amazed by the naivety and simplicity of your questions?!? If you were new to this I might think it possible, but don't I recognise you from Quindell's LSE chatroom???
Glad i am not the only one seeing staged useless questions. Aimed at trying to cause panic but in reality make you cringe and think why do this and make it sooo obvious.
Thank you. I am a simple man and when simple questions cannot be answered I get concerned.
I think the true is that most folk don't know why! Neither do I, it baffles me! Anything below 3p is a purchase below the price of the placement price, which given the structure of our new board and the product we have seems to me incredible. Noone can give you any guarantees about how this will trade on the first day post-consolidation, be very wary of those of say they can...
Just taken another 100k. My biggest holding now by some way, here's hoping for a good week next week.
Is a chance the RTO wont happen. Just like its possible to find a ford fiesta on the moon......
Thank you all but what is the answer, surely it is a basic but important question. Or am I completely lost, or worse asking the wrong question ? Thanks geniuses in advance.
a Phase III clinical study in an orphan disease such as EB could easily be done quickly and with very low patient numbers (50-100) taking less than a year, keeping costs down, so 10M is quite realistic for such an indication (that's the beauty of rare diseases, with oncology or diabetes you are looking at thousands of patients in a Phase III and many clinical centres). Birken will probably finance the clinic ops from its own revenues and the 10M will go to pay milestones owed to Birken for the development by Amryt. With nothing else relevant clinically in the EB indication expect a rapid & accelerated approval process from the EMEA 3-6 months for Market Authorisation.
