Hey wyndrum - i'll get my umbrella. lol ; )
Yes - of course - and the one thing i love about these boards is that people have lots of experience to share. And it's good to share.
Chris its not my intention to pee on your parade, but the key here is that EVE are not making money. They are losing money. They have circa £8m in the bank that they have already stated will be used to fund a greater awareness of the brand in France. That means EVE are not expecting UK revenue to be able to fund this expenditure, which in turn, leads some to the expectation that the UK will still not make any money this year.
The bear case (and I am not expressing and opinion here), is that they have hit a wall in the UK and they are in a sense "forced" to spend what they have left in last throw to try and get enough sales to show a profit. by the end on 2022 (which is quite away a way, which in turn, leaves a lot to the hostage of "events)". France is deemed to be the best bang for buck at this stage, hence that's where the money is going.
The plus side is that the management team have done very well from when they took over and have steadied the ship ahead of schedule and are now sufficiently confident to branch out and use this time and the cash in the bank, to prove once and for all that EVE has a workable/profitable business model.
Time will tell but its very early days, hence the potential for very good SP appreciation from here. (If it was already a done deal so to speak, then the SP would already be 10p plus.)
Only bet what you can COMFORTABLY afford to lose.
Hey guys, I hope you all had a good weekend.
Just to throw my hat in the ring here. I'm all for being cautious around investment but in my opinion - there are too many positive signals to indicate that no matter what profit line you are looking to take with EVE long or short term, the future of EVE shares looks good.
: )
Youre right. But i think with good solid revenue 10p arent so far away. every other sp target without fundamental data are just chart targets. thees targets are only realistic with a buying hype. This could be happen every day, or never.... its a penny stock everything can happen. maybe tomorrow its at 1-2 pence. nobody knows it.
I think this is a company with a good future.
But everyone should make up their own mind.
DYOR ( and probably not let other posters sway ones own judgement).
I hold. Some people here should leave the community then they think the stock is dead right now. :)
Too many unknowns (how much will they decide to spend in France? How will sales respond out of lockdown) for me to speculate but CC and her predecessor JS have taken this to the brink of breaking even and every commentator says that the accelerated shift online will not reverse. TBH, I trust CC to cary on the great work.
If someone had said, 14 months ago, that we'd go from 0.9p to 5.10 / 5.20 with a spike above 8p, that would have sounded.. kind of rampy?
Anyway, I must have belief or I'd sell up and that isn't going to happen on the present evidence. And AimT, if I may say, I doubt you'd be here just to comment on Eve's progress if you didn't see some money to be made. News and updates will begin to arrive in a few weeks so I see a rise before long, even if we don't hold the current level in the short term. There are so many other opportunities and people like to jump from horse to horse as we know.
Possibly D-Geeman. But new investors should be aware of just how risky this is. To hear people talking about an SP of 10p, 25p, 80p - it's just ridiculous. You seem almost certain that they'll make it (without running out of cash) but I haven't heard you mention how you think this is going to happen? What do sales need to increase by (at current margins) to get to breakeven? I think it's a bigger uplift than you think and with the headwinds of retail reopening / people spending less on the home and more on experience (post Covid) is it really possible? The house broker is estimating that cash will drop to 4-5m this year. I know you have 100% belief but time really is running out here. They cannot go back to investors for more cash. It's not a realistic option and 8m doesn't last that long.
Hi Aim, I suspect it's a reaction to people saying it will go bust – which I don't agree with – though I only have my sights set on a gentle rise in fortunes. I think eve will walk before it runs which is fine by me.
Its so rampy here - I feel sorry for the newbies
First Target 10pence Second Target 25-30pence Third Target Outbreak to 80pence
Eve are make record numbers on course to announce biggest record for the company for 2021 matter of time before the share price breaks out
