No idea really. Might just go with the markets. I think there might be some general market pullback after a strong week, Most of EGU's rns's have been after 1630
ouchhhhh thats a ridiculous price to sell that many shares.... but well played on calling the after hours rns. how do you think it will affect the share price? in canada things seem to be holding strong. thank god they didnt say "we have no idea" lol
Ha ha ha... here it is 17:34 - after the rise.................. Catch up EGU 7th July 2011 - European Goldfields Limited (AIM: EGU / TSX: EGU) (the"Company") has noted the recent movement in its share price. The Company would like to confirm that over recent days it has been in active and close dialogue with the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change ("MOE"), regarding the permitting of its Greek projects. Based upon those discussions, the Company is highly confident of a positive outcome. Remarks reported in the press today, following a press conference held by the MOE, further underscore that level of confidence. http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/201107071734440151K.html
After hours sell for 112000 only given 688 each

ATHENS, July 7 (Reuters) - Greece said on Thursday it expects to award London-based European Goldfields (EGUq.L: Quote)(EGU.TO: Quote) with a much-awaited permit to dig for gold this month. "We are at the end of the (licensing) procedure and we will be able to make announcements at the end of this month," Greece's new Environment and Energy Minister George Papaconstantinou told a news conference. Another environment ministry official said the permit would actually be granted by mid-July but the official announcement would be made later in the month. "The licence will be given by mid-July," said the official, who declined to be named. (Reporting by Angeliki Koutantou; Editing by Harry Papachristou and Ingrid Melander)

LONDON, July 6 (Reuters) - European Goldfields Ltd (EGUq.L) is in talks with Greece's environmental ministry over a long-awaited permit, the company said on Wednesday, the day it had hoped to get approval. "Since the passing of the austerity vote at the end of last week, we have been in active and close dialogue with the Ministry and are delighted with the progress that is being made," the London-listed company said in an e-mailed statement. "Based upon those discussions, we are highly confident of a positive outcome." On June 15, European Goldfields said Greece would decide within three weeks on awarding the miner a permit to run two goldmines, a key project in the northern part of the country that has been delayed by a year, but two days later the environment minister was replaced in a reshuffle. Last week, the miner said it was seeking a meeting with the new Greek environment minister George Papaconstantinou, who was dumped as finance minister after his belt-tightening programme stoked violent unrest in the country.

Much prefer my charts to yours! Though was a bit worried when the 5655 thing broke. It now allows for a test of the two year support line - currently 5534 or so. Dunno about you but I'm not finding this as scary as I did in 2009 'cos I know what is actually happening. That was cheeky what they did with the AIM this morning. A market wide gap down of 6 points and some bizarre contrary movements which make no sense. I noticed the one I commented on last night were foolish enough to issue an RNS and thUs, dropped by 13% at one point. (The RNS was a report of a directors BUY - never seen that provoke a drop. Similarly RRL's RNS. Mad day.
Martyn Konig, Executive Chairman and President, commented: "Underpinned by another year of solid performance at our Stratoni mine in Greece, which had its best financial performance in Q4 2010 since 2007, mostly due to higher realised base metal prices, we have made exceptional progress in advancing the permitting process of our development projects in both Greece and Romania. We were delighted to receive the unanimous approval of the local Prefectural Council for our Greek projects at the end of the year and are now initiating the same public consultation process in Romania. Quite rightly, the environmental permitting of our development projects has been a technically detailed and exhaustive process. We are pleased that this work is now largely complete, with our Greek EIS approval imminent and the Romanian EIS going through the public consultation process. We therefore look forward to commencing construction on all of our development projects in 2011, which will be a transformational year for the Company."
