OK.. ok... who joined me in the top-up Thursday?!
:))
Amazing how few shares make a large impact when running at an 80% loss! Just shaved 6p off my average... Sadly the paper loss is still almost 20 times this morning's investment.
LOL. That wouldn't be worth the trade fee! The one after those two...
10 shares or 129?
Added a few this morning. At least on paper it might help the average!
Sometimes you have to accept you can't polish a turd. At some point they are going to have to accept the washer crusher may not be for for purpose. All these years of not quite making it should be be telling us something
Agreed on 1st week of Feb, SoaS.
I think the key thing here is that we've never been "able" to hit any target because the operations machine tasked with hitting the target wasn't fit for purpose.
From the recent updates (past 6 months) I would hope that a large amount of effort in 2022 has gone into assessing that ops machine, and turning it around, before focusing necessarily on output. That should hopefully be well under way, so theoretically now there should be little reason not to see output increase.
Ever the optimist!
Have to admit Saus they have disappointed but you never know now might actually be the time they deliver for a change
Noel and co seem a more proactive bunch than the previous team so guess we wont have long to wait.
I f they have managed to sell the coal and fines as was suggested then you would think the market will look at this in a different light, and maybe they can then afford a new plant to increase output quickly?
I can kinda see the next update coming first week of February.
I'm sure they don't want to give us December's output figures as they will by dismal what with presumably Xmas and New Year closure taking place. It is better for them to show us a full month's worth of production for January and then bolt on December's miserable figures.
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know we've never been able to hit any target however big or small for output over the last years
That's true however it's clear that the previous management team did essentially nothing.
New team have been unwinding the chaos and making changes. Perfectly expect this to take time before they can be ramping up production.
I'm 80% down here so not going anywhere. May even top up a bit to try and bring down my average. Wouldn't take too much at current prices.
They have said an update will be sooner rather than later.
I'm reaching the point of no interest as every update is saying they haven't quite done it but there's this or that reason. That has been the case for 10 years or so.
I just can't see them breaking that.
Of course aren’t you? Would imagine it should be within the next week or two .
... actually interested in an update from Edenville anymore???
Hopefully they have found something similar to the Cullinan diamond in amongst all our coal.....
Perhaps they are finalising something before providing an update…
Reckon we will know soon enough how things are going just hope Noel doesn’t let us down .
If they can show delivery of coal and sale of fines I’ll be Happy as will the market.
Pity they do not mention Rukwa

I'm thinking this next update won't be very good but the one after will be as turnarounds don't happen in a month.
What has changed since the old regime - even if it's not a sudden boost in production - is transparency around what the state of the business was before the management change, and how they plan to turn it around. Previously it was always someone else's fault or problem. Now it's ours and the team are supposedly tackling it. I'm actually looking forward to hearing what they have to say. The asset is still there and the market has improved. Now it's down to logistics and rolling sleeves up.
Alan Golding has been employed to determine the next best sites for coal extraction. His initial efforts have uncovered a previously unknown seam (yet to be tested) with potentially sufficient coal for several years.
The original 30yrs estimate does not take into account the expanded licence area, which is a substantial increase, although there has been no further mention of it I'm assuming EDL still hold the expanded area..
The talk of supplying CFPP's is just talk at the moment but it is the quickest route to power generation which TZ desperately need. Other countries have no qualms about using TZ coal so why should TZ miss out on power generation especially with the new technologies available.
Esquimo Hopefully I'm looking at it wrong.
I thought they had enough coal to run a power station for 30 years or so. Why are they now searching for more.
Again hopefully I've read it wrong.
3.14, that is what has been discussed, we don't know what the production is and won't until the update, we can't assume but we can hope that things are changing with the effort that has been put in re maintenance and improving efficiency bearing in mind the limitations of the wash plant.
The employment of an engineer to search for more productive seams doesn't sound like a company that will not increase production but is preparing for further investment in plant in the near future.
3.14,
teaye72 saying about the old ways returning has anything changed? production as far as we know hasn't improved.
