The "only" reason I can now see for the silence is that it's holiday season and the BOD/NOMAD are in front of a pool rather than a computer screen. Or, heavens forbid, a coal dump.
But it hasn't slumped. Two SELLS this morning, but also a balancing BUY just now.
Does feel like this is in a perpetual state of self-inflicted bottom-drawer-ness due to update apathy.
All it would take is for Edenville to achieve something they keep suggesting they want to achieve, and then tell the market about it.
This BB is .......
Good luck to all genuine investors the rest of you can do one..
Silence continues, and the sells will trickle in with each new day.
Beyond disappointed
When you say "What went before is not in the slightest bit relevant" I'm presuming you are excluding coal and coal mining from that statement, as previously you've said coal (mining) (which has been part of our past) is key to our future?
So when you say "What went before is not in the slightest bit relevant" do you mean coal mining?
You’re not bored with me, you are absolutely obsessed with me!! My name appears in a very great deal of your recent posts (at a glance 15 times in recent days) without those that are aimed at me not including my name, AND even more over the years, and it’s definitely not me engaging you! You are clearly obsessed!!
Why would a self-proclaimed turncoat spend so many years running this share down causing descent and disruption on this bb if they are still invested? Or is it the advocate you have a problem with??. …
I have been party to the debate on this board for a very long time. There were periods for years were I was virtually the only person on this board posting anything. Over those years there have been many serious naysayers, but they disappeared one by one.
As this boards longest advocate I’m very well used to being attacked by those that weren’t able to stay the course and that probably lost a lot of money, rarely if ever by genuinely interested hopeful investors! ?
Since the company’s status changed with the news of ITIL and more recently the additional larger Investors ANY post about what went before regarding the company’s successes or failures are imo absolutely 100% pointless.
I’ve said this many times recently that I’m currently no longer interested per se in the company and until such times as they rekindle my interest I am only interested in the SP.
I’m happy to continue to discuss the company’s future with everybody, but won’t be getting involved in feeding the naysayers hunger for negativity because of what might or might not have gone before. It’s pointless and irrelevant.
Not sure of the point of a fragmented history lesson, as that’s exactly what it is History!
What went before is not in the slightest bit relevant to what we are led to believe is the current status quo.
Pointless negativity!
Ever since the 9th October 2017 RNS under Rufus Short, Edenville have tried and tried to get coal out of the ground to sell it in sufficient quantities. That RNS stated "The wash plant is now processing material to fulfil requests for coal that have already been made. Management expects production levels to increase over the coming months and are currently targeting production of at least 10,000 tonnes per month by January 2018." Unfortunately, they just can't do it. They chose the wrong area, exhausted all the coal then had to pay to move everything to the northern area. For over three years they have tried to become a coal mine that can produce 10,000 tonnes a month. They just can't get it right. 11 months ago they implicitly acknowledged that by announcing the hand over of the mine. NvS said that for many reasons coal is not the future, and Tony Buckingham is looking at acquisitions. Some of the best decisions in business are toughest decisions to make. If (when) Edenville can get to 3000 tonnes a month (over what time period? 2 months minimum? ) there is a decision to make with ITIL re hand over.
Is it a) bail out of the agreement b) hand over or c) sell up? Coal has given us a past, it's given us an opportunity to have a future, but it isn't our future.
When will news drop?
Producing 3000 tonnes a month, ITIL will want to know that this isn't a one month wonder, so I'm sure it's over at least two months.
Once the 3000 tonnes has been proved ITIL will then discuss what's next, and make their decision. A big decision, this isn't going to happen over night, why would it, they don't have our interests in mind, it's their money their future their decision.
Acquisition; how long does it take to go find, research, meet with, undertake due diligence and do the legals on an acquisition? On the 24th June Edenville hadn't even started exploring opportunities, they had spoken with Tony Buckingham and looked forward to working with him. Heaven knows when the acquisition side will be sorted.
Three big pieces of news, 3000 a month, handover, acquisition, none of which I can being made in August I'm afraid. Edenville have plenty of money to be going on with, and even if they didn't they are not shy of asking for more from their faithful investors.
That brings us to the share price. This is a news driven share, it once upon a time reacted positively to the suggestions made in RNSs, now it has a feeling that the market doesn't even notice the jam tomorrow suggestions being made time and time again. Unless we get news on cast iron accomplishments rather than suggestions the price will drift. We are seeing over the last week or so, now sub 29p and no buying to prop it up. I'm not sure how low this will go before people think it's s buying opportunity, but right now that buying opportunity is lower than today's price as we can tell from Friday. Price dropped no rush to buy in.
Good luck all.
Esquimo, putting few things you say together
Why would they contemplate surrendering now.
And
based on news releases as facts
So when you ask why surrender now, basing it on facts as published. The question has to be why, 11 months ago, did they decide to hand the mine over and not run the mine themselves? Why 11 months ago did they decide to surrender the mine? (As published in several RNSs)
EDL have spent the last ten yrs. developing this asset and generating customers, I accept that they tripped over their own bootlaces on the way but they are now at the point of generating good if not substantial income. Why would they contemplate surrendering now.
It's foolish to make wild claims assuming that EDL has failed, forecasting what they need to do to make the business viable without the necessary operational update.
If judgements are based on news releases as facts then wild guesses and emotional assumptions are not compatible.

You have an idea there!!! Maybe I'll contact them and ask, although I wouldn't hold my breathe for a reply.
Saus, maybe you should ask to join the BOD and give them your expert wisdom for EDL's future.
Aerial, you said "Guess you’ll be claiming you said so when the SP goes up!!"
I do believe this will come good, but we have to
Get rid of the mine, either hand it over and take a cut of sales or sell it
Announce a new investment strategy
Buy another company with extraction licence
Change Edenville's name
C'mon aerial, share the posts on the rainy season. You have them all saved we understand.
With no news this will be sub 28p by next Friday.
BoD need to understand we need the facts whatever they are, and we need them Monday 7am.
Aerial - you miss the point.
It's about your bigotted and arrogant responses to my post about the rainy season.
And if I could be bothered to find it there's an exchange between us some time back about the World Bank and links to the Interconnector project documents, so I clearly have no idea.
Why don't you share on here the posts you did in response to mine about the rainy season?
And everyone can decide for themselves.
Closing one from me as I'm bored of you - how many rainy seasons are there in the area of Tanzania where our mine is? And I bet you try and make some sort of joke out of it.
Indisputable facts Aerial, not opinions.
Oh dear GW you’re still hurting! Let me explain something to you about your indisputable fact about the Sumbawanga weather, they are disputable!! Still deluding yourself about your research and my research, but yours has to be indisputable lol
I’ll explain something else to you. When I invested in this share the weather was furthest from anybody’s mind and didn’t become an issue until they had problems mining. Bearing in mind other mines all over the world seem to manage ok. Rest assured there’s not a single person invested in this share for as long as me that ever researched the weather as part of any due diligence, and I doubt you did either.
Tell us how the Great indisputable weather researcher didn’t know an elementary fact about the company’s long term strategy, the one on the first page of the website.
Tell us how, even though you’ve been invested for years that you didn’t understand the Interconnector and the power pools source of electricity.
Tell us how you thought the CFPS was the Sumbawanga Sub Station.
Tell us why you advised in your informative Consolidation Post “More Shares Issued, Dilution etc etc……and PIs lose”
And you have the front to talk to me about the weather. Answer the questions!

GW Early January 2021
“Yes, there will be those that argue it makes no difference as the MCap stays as is, but in reality consolidation just allows the share price to get chipped away at again, more shares issued, dilution etc etc.....and PIs lose”
"If no Friday RNS they will have failed"
Looks like they failed according to aerial. Facts are facts and simply reading what you state
Looks like the cavalry has arrived. Good evening bigeye - anything factual or of possible use to other investors that you want to bring to the conversation? No, thought not.
Aerial - where did I say my research was superior? It's not research it's indisputable facts.
Still you argue against indisputable facts.
But the issue I have us not about the facts, opinions etc.
It's about your reaction to that post. I'm surprised it's still in the posting history.
Someone claiming to have been invested for several years ?-------certainly not someone masquerading as a KW yer havin a laugh company director.
How many tonnes?
I love the way you try to divert the conversation away from your posts. Keep going.

“limited appreciation of the potential commercial impacts of the climate and resulting weather patterns” I think you’re on drugs! Lol
25,694 posts and that’s the best you have. You still think your research on the Sumbwanga Weather is somehow superior because you said it is :))
Read my 14:37 we ALL know about your research (or lack of) lol
Clearly you and your mate are obsessed with failure? but we know your view.
Guess you’ll be claiming you said so when the SP goes up!!
Oh and I forget about the Lind death spiral posts, I’ll have to dig them out !
Really Sausage, tell us all about the facts of your $3.5 billion Australian Nuclear Power Station research!
I genuinely don’t know how you can show your face after such ignorant attempts to de-ramp, and you are clearly deluding yourself if you think you know facts!
I know that facts are facts, that I do know.
Sausage
Sadly you don’t even understand the irony of the irony lol
