month not moth !
Hi JS
Thought this would have been near the 4s by now ? maybe september is the moth for a decent rise !
count is -1 today. Focus must be on super-app Monday.
Amusing to see topazfrenzy has flipped to positive on the other board!
Anyone done a daily count today restaurant numbers?
Because yes they signed up to the eat out but they are still getting money for full priced meals. They won’t drop this in September.
And I imagine September will be quiet for hospitality as everyone over indulges in August
And miller and carter will not be offering discounted post August
No its not its bringing in customers that would not eat out before, certain restaurants have always had offers mon-wednesday with no government help e.g 241 or 30% off etc
All restaurants would happily drop their prices if they were guaranteed more customers which is how dish will market this
Tell me the last time you ever saw a discount voucher of any kind for Miller n Carter or TGI Fridays before covid struck...but yes they have signed up......times have changed..hospitality has certainly changed..lets speak in 4 weeeks
because the government gives them the money back, if they offer the discount through dish after August that is the restaurant losing that money.
And all this has done is taken business from the rest of the week, not sustainable offering this level of discount going forward and the restaurants having to take the hit. That's my opinion. Dish will continue offering discount at off peak times
I'm in here, but like others am begging the question if we are going live on Monday why the miserly SP?
Hitthetarget how are restaurants losing money, restaurant takings on a mon-wednesday are up 33% on the overall week
I have been in pizza huts on a monday and they have had 6 people in it does not even cover the electric so 6 people at full price or 60 bookings at half price-do the maths pal
Anything can be sold cheaper if its at a higher volume
Restaurant prices are only so high at present to cover the mon-wed losses that Thursday to Sun make up
Anything else I can educate you on let me know?
The restaurant will carry on without the government, therefore losing a good chunk of revenue, why would they do that?
They may offer discounts on the quieter days but they won’t be offering the same discounts that you get through the eat out scheme
havealot...if at first you dont succeed.......because once eat out to help out finishing with the government the restaurants will carry it on with dish....cheer up buddy its all good
My problem is I do not see what they have delivered so far. Yes they have linked their App to a number of restaurant chains own websites. But this is hardly rocket science, just a few lines of code, nothing to do with SaaS. I wait with interest to see what 'BigDish-to-go' adds to the party. It is not as if BigDish are providing a complete booking software package, which restaurants can lease as an SaaS package, restaurant chains have there own arrangements. Or am I missing something here?
Whilst agreeing that timing is everything, one can hardly say Bigdish has timed it right when they have wasted two years and millions of pounds getting to their new business model!
As far as the chains are concerned, Bigdish App takes you to the restaurants own booking system. If I wanted to book an Harvester meal why would I waste time with the Bigdish App, quicker to go directly to the Harvester App.
Timing is everything - or nearly everything when it comes to big success in start-ups. If BigDish has timed this right for its Super App and it meets the strongly felt-needs for both restaurants and consumers, it could become a huge success and shareholders will be celebrating too. Here's hoping......It will be an exciting journey for all of us.
Have also watched the You tube vid on Start ups
BigDish is on the right path ! Looking forward to the Super App & all it brings to BigDish !
Just watched it.
Very interesting and very comparable to bigdish right now
I like blue days
