To be honest crumpets can't wait to get home. Work for a US company, came over March last year with return date during lockdown so decided to stay and work from here as have US working visa, missing home now.
@ackers. Loving your insight from across the pond.
Loving your confidence more so!
I'm guessing the state governors don't want to wait around much longer?
crumpets.
Everything will be open here well before June 21st, cash is king here and as I say the economy means everything.
Don't think that link worked.
About 4.6m first vaccination in New York (24% of population, assume that is skewed as all ages including children included I guess).
So, may well be approaching 40% adults. 1.5m + had second jab also.
asker's, Thanks for info from over the pond.
What I see here is vaccine rollout is going pretty well in US recently and pushing on with it.
Though not as high percentages as quoted by yourself.

Going on nothing but gut instinct and an educated guess but I can see both the U.S and the U.K dropping the restrictions at roughly the same time around the magic June 21st date.
Or in the case of the U.S, as near as damn it to full capacity/very few restrictions.
We won't be too far off each other I reckon.
zstars - re vacation, I would give it a couple months as still have to wear masks in certain areas, places quiet as 25% capacity so lacks the atmosphere to have a fun time.
New York is doing well, Andrew Cuomo seems to have got his act together now, saying almost 40% had first injection and roughly half that had second. California I believe roughly the same. Restaurants are open with some cinemas opening tomorrow at 25% capacity. Things are changing very quickly here as the economy means everything so fingers crossed by end of the month things could be relatively normal.Might even be able to fly home without having to quarantine.
We will be fully open for business well before you in the uk. Here in Connecticut they are vaccinating 50 year olds with 21/28 days grace between injections. All over 50's should be fully vaccinated by end of month.
what no Biden is dem Dems want lockdown and masks for as long as possible. He's been seen saying that he doesn't know if anything will open up before 2022. So it's up to the states to follow texas and new york
Alpha,
As you will know most of the theatres are based in the states, so what Sunak does is not as important as what Biden does and Biden is opening up quickly.
Furlough is there to try and stop mass redundancies before the economy opens up again. Businesses won’t be opening at full capacity straight away with no restrictions hence why some people may be on furlough for a bit longer. I bought in quite heavily in the 20s and CINE still a good buy in my opinion. Still quite likely a 40-50% return on current prices over the next few months.
He's trying to give them confidence. Stop trying to put doubts in people's hsad so you can get in at a lower price. Today's price will look like a gift in two months time.
Anyone else bought this when it was in the dumps around 25-40p? I'd like to buy more as this still has a long way to go but back then was a much easier decision to press buy whereas now I feel it could still go downwards. Sunak has announced furlough until end of Sept even though lockdown is supposed to finish at the end of June, so he's left some wiggle room and thinks might not re-open as planned.
This is exactly how I feel. Would be good if we finish the week like this or better. Hopefully there will be positives over the weekend and then back on the attack. We will see
Very happy that we are holding so firm today and looking strong after yesterday. Days like this are as important as the high percentage increase days .....Looking very good ...I was expecting to see some backlash and reduction, but this is consolidation at its finest, ready for the next leg up IMO...DYOR ....Have a great day all .... Keep holding ...
