Didn't expect CIHL to be the top riser of the day. Got to love the stock market sometimes lol

tombi1- you may be right, though I disagree. Low volume makes for bumpy ride, though SP can turn on a penny as it did during 2020.
Ashcroft bought £14m at 32p last year- likely to do with long-running battle with gov. of Belize to collect on UHS debt owed indirectly to CIHL. Recovery looking ever more likely and worth keeping eye on, as SP likely to gain significantly on collection.
Belize heavily indebted and unable to access international markets due to outstanding debts. It may reduce debt in 'debt for nature' swap, though must ratify UN convention that demands repayment of outstanding debts. Such a motion tabled last month if passed would require gov. repayment of debts to Ashcroft. Believe that patience will reward handsomely.
Looks a dog of a share ,, only going one way don’t be fooled

Can only get better -- Held my shares for a lot of years -- was intending waiting for Government to pay what they owed (and the share price to be about 44 p when they did ) - then intended to sell - hoping to nearly double my investment after so many years.. But then they paid shareholders a dividend -- and the share price also rose to just over the 60 mark. So today apart from the virus affecting everything - it is still - i think a good investment . So with the Government still owing the money and the current value of each share this has got to be a good investment to hold on too which i am doing . Good luck to all investors.

Carribean has merged with scotiabank, see Rns
Interesting sp rise in the last couple of days. Anyone know the reason for it.
I am interested in this share as I can imagine Belize being a safe haven when the s**t hits the fan. I can imagine that there is a lot of wheeling and dealing but does anything trickle down to the smaller investor? Genuine question.
Another purchase today. must admit any companies with Lord Ashcroft as a shareholder are always wheeling and dealing.

Only looked at CIHL when I saw the huge divi coming. Great short term return so far but this does look like it's got some potential over the next few years.
To receive a dividend on my shares after 8 yrs a quarter of what i paid - i am happy with - still holding all shares - God a long time to wait but still think a lot more to come --- good luck all present and future investors ...

Held these for a good few months now, lovely divi and now seeing some great capital return. Not a lot of buys moving the price though. Can see this moving a lot more if they keep up the earnings as of late. Re-rate happing?
Great write up by Evil K yield could be 30% this year. https://masterinvestor.co.uk/evil-diaries/evil-knievil-christmas-present/
It's seems the dividend is 0.77p sterling, have I got that wrong that's about 22% at 33p yield on this payment alone.
It only equates to 0.7p per share.....not really exciting unless you live or have address in Belize then it $2
Per share which is more like it.
DIVIDENDS
See how much they're paying
$7m plus more as and when considering they got so much cash.
Market cap 26 pounds.
Free money
Damn Missed this One!

The Company reports that for the financial year ended March 31, 2018 it recorded Net Income of US$20.6 million compared to a Net Loss of US$2.4 million in fiscal 2017. This significant turnaround is a direct result of a US$15.3 million reduction in loan loss provisions at the banking group level, which on consolidation reflects an improvement in the overall asset quality of the Company
