Also. What is the Elis SA current SP?
What's the thinking? Take the offer? Take more Elis SA shares? Cash out?
Looks like another UK based company becoming a foreign subsidiary again following the others (Arm holdings, rexam, fyfes bananas etc...)
Good thing we did not listen to those brokers eh? What do they get paid for? Shocking, poor and shameful. Some posters on here were predicting doom and gloom and an SP of 660p! SP pretty much DOUBLED. Marshall Wace, Citadel and Echo Street all had shorts on here.
Hi. Could anybody help. I have shares in Berendsen. At what point can I sell these shares up until? I'm hoping to sell Berendsen shares but still benefit from the new shares being offered with new company. Has the deal been struck yet? As you can see by my questions I am very new to this. Thanks.
To all who had faith in BRSN over the last few months of volatility well done and congratulations. BRSN has shown and proved that companies with good fundamentals and a low Graham score will always outperform markets. This is a fantastic company with a good board and I am happy that rlthey are now fairly valued. A few months ago someone asked why One of the brokers stated a £12+ sp when BRSN tanked, what's the best they knew about an offer coming. Well done all, if you have made good money on BRSN then enjoy it, continue with fundamental analysis and find next stock to put money into.
What are people thinking on the new price? Also it talks about the interim dividend, do we know how much that will be yet and is it worth holding out for or just sell up now?
£5k for me
Good feeling about this one!!
A friend of mine recently took up a junior management post here. The anecdotal evidence here is a company throwing off heaps of cash via large repeat contracts. However, it appears woefully underinvested and run inefficiently. If the new CEO addresses these aspects which he clearly intends to, then the upside here is far in excess of the opportunistic Frenchie bid, which is merely seeking to cash in on the recently depressed SP. Stick with the current management.
Have until 15th of June to make another offer,I would think a steady rise here for next few weeks in anticipation! IMO
Surely in excess of £12
...the T/O bid has caused a revaluation and raised awareness of the potential here. Shame I got out (last time) at 880p. Oh well, hindsight eh! But I still believe this will reach £13 again, so will be looking for an entry point soon.
...who has made a reasonable profit by being in and out here for the last year or so, (and managed to be out when it counted!), I think the BoD are serious about rejecting the offer. I believe the company is undervalued at the moment due to the need to re-structure and re-equip, which has led to the drop in SP and has tempted the other players to make a bid. The upside is around £13 a pop, a way off for sure, but I think a sell off at the current low SP will not be well accepted. My own view is that the SP will drift back as the rejection is seen to be real and not a ploy. Many of the large holders have been here a while and will support the BoD, so a hostile T/O will have to offer a lot more. I'll be watching and waiting.
The brokers did indeed get it all wrong... and the massive down trade that followed has of course assisted in reducing the offer price based on the 1-3mths average. The Board refused their initial offer at £11.49 and has rejected this as well at £11.73, stating considerable undervaluation. I'm sure the company will attempt to pump their price in preparation of any further offers from Elis or other pot bidders..
Think we'll see another offer
I took the profit when I could, but missed out on this huge rise. Great for all the long term holders.
My 3 shares
Well, well. The brokers got this very wrong didn't they? Target price of 660p? Now above 1100p The brokers were almost all advising us to sell and look what happened....
Can't find any media reporting on this acquisition proposal yet..... The offer by Elis seems to be worth 11.75, so still a bit to go!
As with any share it depends what timeline you have before you need a return on capital. For me I got out at 850. But the dividend is worth it if you have a longer time to hold than I do.
Well back down today QE. I actually thought it would go lower based purely on down grade of forecast earnings for this year and then having to spend the same amount as their profit for the next 3 years on upgrading their equipment. Then there is fact they have a debt as well. The positive side though was huge bod buying. Best of luck to all in here.
.
Is it likely to continue going up though. Nearly bought in here the day of the big fall and mentioned it on another bb but it was already on the rise before I could do anything. Wasn't sure who had bought here or when to be frank and suppose it could be the same with the selling and actually though there was only one poster in reality.
