Eggchaser, You can't blow away a bad smell. You have to enclose them in little green boxes, where they can do no harm.
Fashionably late... but only by 10 years

Exactly sharescare and this is something i mentioned a while back thereis actually no case against BPC and nothing will affevt BPC, the only problem would be we would ha e to reapply for an Eia which will be easily done in future, now crack with this drill.
$30 in 6 days, environmentalists do not like speaking with their wallets

I think we can take it as a positive.
The government look like they are being good guys.
The environmentalists get their day in court.
The government like BPC would have originally not wanted the drill stopped, so the cost claim was applied for. Now there is no JR until mid February-March that concern has disappeared after the judge refused a stop to the drill.
The government would have looked bad trying to get costs from the environmentalists, especially now we have all learned they have the begging bowl out.
I posted a link yesterday where they needed $20,000 and had raised $10 in 4 days. The same link was posted a little while later and they had managed to raise $30
Today that link had raised $30 and the amount was reduced to $2500
BPC could theoretically expect a much higher cost/security put in place than the governments $200,000
The JR is going ahead regardless but has no effect on BPC, any changes made to the way EIAs are made will be met by BPC as when they are applied for. So what has really changed ?
Not 'exterminate', 'You will be assimilated!' from The Borg collective, Star Trek. A good read though, Ha Ha!!
It's to early for waiting, writing and hoping for an oil RNS. Remember again, BPC isn't allowed to say something, before the drill isn't completed. The drill should go till 4.800 - 5.400 m. Most of the oil layers and therefore most of the oil will be between 3.350 - 5.400 m. There is a lot of testing necessary for saying if we get 0.7 billion bbls or like more 1.4 billion bbls.
In my opinion it tends more to 1.4 billion bbls, because the B structure segments in the northern part seem to be more substantial.
The oil find will change something. It will be very interesting to see what will happen the months, half year after the big finding. Let us see what the pressure groups will working for.
But don't forget BPC was planning for Perseverance #2 as follow-on (see presentation August 2020).
To tell a private little secret, my personally prefered drill P#2 would be Fold C, there seems for me to be the second really big bubble. If this would realised, than 20p or 25p looks like peanuts.
At the moment the derampers are working furthermore in subtle manner. They are stiring up doubts within the discussion boards and around. And institutional investors have done their work too.

Lakeside - it could be but I have learned not to count chickens... especially when it comes to legal matters!
I’m lost...!
This surely is great news !
I wonder why the government had a hearing today, they were down for the 22nd January.
So is it the case that BPC as an affected party will instead make an application for costs security as they were supposed to be heard today.
The government today withdrew its application for security for costs in the Supreme Court during a hearing for the judicial review of its approvals for Bahamas Petroleum Company (BPC) to drill for oil in The Bahamas
Attorneys for the government submitted, during a hearing before Supreme Court Justice Petra Hanna-Adderley, that the decision was made in an effort to save time and costs. The government was seeking security for cost of $200,000 for the entire action or to have it dismissed
Perhaps the government are confident of it being tossed out, hence the reason given to save time and money?

Wonder why any thoughts
Hey Krapper... I thought I could smell something... you never replied ....Have you ever constructed a post based on an intelligent appraisal of BPCs facts and fundamentals or do you just attack any views contrary to your own? With what can only be described as playground insults.
I come on BBs to put forward my opinions and to seek out honest cogent perspectives that differ from my own as even if I disagree It can often assist me to make informed decisions. even if I do strongly disagree with a statement I will post why without feeling the need to become emotional and make a personal attack against the individual.
Remember - I’ve put my money where my mouth is - Can you make such a claim??
Depends on API, but , $3.5 isn’t far off the Mark

JUST IN: The government today withdrew its application for security for costs in the Supreme Court during a hearing for the judicial review of its approvals for Bahamas Petroleum Company (BPC) to drill for oil in The Bahamas.
Attorneys for the government submitted, during a hearing before Supreme Court Justice Petra Hanna-Weekes, that the withdrawal was made in an effort to save time and costs.

Could someone please remind me of poo in the ground.
I appreciate it has been posted before. Lost my information sheet.
Cheers
Thanks!!
....Hopefully, we will have a more positive RNS tomorrow to cheer folks up. Like spending time with my miserable glass empty fatha.!!! Was desperate to get his 2nd jab last week, got it and spent the journey back to his home whinging about some poor bugger whose mask fell down from his nose.
Seems there are a number of whinging auld and young 7w47s on here at the moment.
There are still some of the old guard who are keeping the humour going though which makes it all the more bearable.
Stay safe - as a lot do - back up opinion with the odd fact and everyone will be happy. ;@)
