LL - more like 3 years lol. Last time sp was at these levels was back in 2009.
Its like getting 1 years action in 1 week with BMY at the mo ! But trade info very interesting 1987 !
This is now going higher on very little volume which could be over cooking the move. It tells me there are no sellers around and I get the feeling that proffesional traders do not want to provide supply by shorting. My instinct tells me to sell into a rally...
1987 - yep well done. Lucky - Am also going to hold and will be very interested in the interims. I am impressed with the direction the BOD are taking BMY in and very hopeful that the interims will show that results are continuing to improve.
Investec target looks viable now but not a fan of this mob who I am sure use a dart board for their reccomendations ! Congrats 1987 always good to hear someone reaping physical profits ! gonna hold for a little while longer my whining obviously got the market to wake up & smell the coffee at last !
I top sliced a little today..
Possibly a combination of Investec increasing their target price to 190 and buyers moving in for the interims
I haven't seen anything yet.
I bought my origianl batch years ago at £2 + to embarrased to confirm actual price but held onto them as not worh selling due to price drop but bought in again last year when they were particular low which made my BE price approx 1.48 Gonna hold for a while longer as I guess they still owe me a few quid ! Did anyone find news for recent spike ? Cheers guys !
lol - well done.
When did you buy in if your making a profit at the year high?
Told you all to keep the faith ! Ha Ha By the way now in profit at last ! Seriously If no one had responded to me on this thread I would have sold up & moved on cheers Boys !
IC article here - afraid I'm not a member so can't access the whole piece Would be great if we could leave 150 behind us now - seems BOD's strategy may be paying off http://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/2013/10/02/comment/simon-thompson/an-e-commerce-winner-GOJ47rL6pvH7I0IdlGiyaM/article.html
What have I missed or is this the technical breakout we have been looking for?
Yep - pretty poor day on the markets today but trusty old BMY showing a bit of blue.
Good to see this share now acting like a grown up at last !
Wasn't watching BMY at all on Friday but interesting theory and wouldn't surprise me at all.
Stock down early on 2500 shares. Spread widened. Market maker new there was a dumb seller in his hands. I reckon the mm was shooting the stock when he could throughout the day. Then covers his short with the sellers stock just after the close below the bid. Thieving mm in my opinion. Having traded US stocks for 25 years for major US in vestment banks ...a ploy I have seen done before ..printing stock late in the day. Mm makes money by using the widened spread which he probably controls then tells the client that was the best px for his 19,000 shares. We then value our holding as of the bid when the real px should be 148 /149. any ideas elsewhere?
Yes getting very close to leaving 150 behind us
About bloody time at least us 3 will be laughing all the way to the bank when this comes good ! breaking the 1.50 barrier shortly harry potter days are here again !
lol - have a look at the 6 month chart. BMY isn't doing too badly. The steady eddy of my portfolio!
At least im not the only tortured soul who holds BMY ! Gonna hold & keep the faith then ! As boom said the divis aint bad !
Seen nothing, I just waiting or this thing to break out of the tortuous level... Handled itself hen going ex dividend tho.
With LLOY / AV / PFD racing past the post at speeds of increases i cant keep up with in my portfolio just wonder when this tortoise is going to cacth the hare ! Boom/1987 any more good news for BMY for the institutions to ignore !
http://www.investegate.co.uk/bloomsburypublishing/bmy/acquisition-of-hart-publishing-limited/201309021540020417N/?fe=1&utm_source=FE%20Investegate%20Alerts&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=Announcement%20Alert%20Mail&utm_campaign=BloomsburyPublishing%20Alert All ties in with the current business strategy and I particularly like this bit:- "The acquisition is expected to generate cost savings and be immediately earnings enhancing contributing approximately £1.4 million of revenue to Bloomsbury in the year ending 28 February 2014"
