How much is the dividend, is it percentages based on the price of its shares? Thanks
Would think the future world will not need steel,or oil or copper. Do blt have any investment in lithium? Look ubs reckon 11 quid, only a couple of days ago. Let's not panic. Yeah, looks like divi will be halved but it's still a good return no?
falling badly
just about all miners rallied yesterday, especially just before the USA openend. just the usual mining market volatility I guess.
If this news was in the pipeline why did blt rise by so much yesterday?
shale writedown. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-01-15/bhp-billiton-reveals-further-shale-oil-write-down/7090530
.....thats great news for the sectors that use allot of oil (ie airlines...) sure at $10-$16.....i might buy a few barrells at that price myself....
Oil price: predictions of fall to $16 - and even $10
Iv e a few k of these already....ill buy more to reduce my avg.....keeping a eye on oil ...more downside likely... ....be greedy when others are fearful
perfect storm
everything going worse day by day .trend reversal only can happen .if and only .recovery take place . but it,s going bad to worse .no hope
here and rio... ....still plenty of downside potential before trend reversal imv
Have to wait till 23rd Feb to find out if they are cutting the dividend. If it was cut by 50% i would think this share price would go up a lot
Am I missing something cheaper oil main cost in mining should be better profits if India takes off more people live there than china
its the markets that matter...and blt is in some of the worst
Hi are these guys still paying a divi?
for 2016 according to nasdaq...and then massive rebound in 2017 which looks way over optimistic and open to significant downwards revision during 2016 (one estimate only mind lol)
down down down... towards 5? ...still on mighty high prospective pe
.
don't mess around .blt ...
standard...and over
to over £8 again today.
oh, £3,5Bn is about £2 of the current SP, so just a little worry there.
Over 300 miles of toxic iron ore residue. http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/nov/22/anger-rises-as-brazilian-mine-disaster-threatens-river-and-sea-with-toxic-mud Brazil to sue for $5.3Bn. http://www.wsj.com/articles/vale-says-samarco-dam-break-contained-toxic-elements-1448643187 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/industry/mining/12024182/BHP-Billiton-shares-drop-as-it-braces-for-3.5bn-fine-over-Brazil-dam-burst.html I don't need to pretend to be a BHP Billiton employee to see where this is going. This is a dead fish bounce, like millions of dead fish along a three hundred mile river and on into the sea. They set up water stations for 3,000,000 people along its banks? They replaced the poisoned soil that grew their food, or the fish that they took from the river? What responsible company stockpiles toxic waste for years and years, without processing it? THE PLACE IS UNINHABITABLE. WHAT PART OF THAT DO YOU NOT GET!!!! SELL, SELL, SELL, SELL SELL!!!!!
K3VMC you forget that blt responded rapidly to the unfortunate situation by setting up fresh water stations for locals and a clean up team on the ground. They have a contingency fund to offer more help to the locals going forward. All actions highly commendable by a responsible company. Something the fed government will no doubt take into account. Big Buy.
