I`m still very bullish about Bidstack`s potential, and still think it could provide for a very comfortable retirement in a couple of years time...if they don`t get bought out too cheap ie 50p-100p.
James Draper has been good at doing what he said he would do in the past, plenty of examples of that, but one thing I`m getting frustrated with is his over exuberance (ironically), and how it leads him to try to be too specific with timescales, as in the `early` January update on clarity in order to be `reasonable` towards shareholders.
Surely by now he is realising that over promising and under delivering hurts the share price. If he doesn`t then maybe one of the AAA advisory board could have a word.
So my message to JD would be to stop making promises, specifically timelines. Under promise and over deliver is far far more encouraging for people to part with their hard earned because they are pleasantly surprised and feel good about their decision to invest.
It makes them get excited about the future, not disappointed in the shortfalls!
Its the timelines James....STOP PROMISING TIMELINES if there is any doubt that you wont meet them.
It’s not just that Yatak, most companies will set the marketing budgets at their year end. You can’t rock up half way through and expected these budgets to be reworked. It will be slow. But I believe in bidstack
I get the frustration on the lack of news, especially since JD mentioned early January (Never promise things that you don't control 100%), however, anyone who has worked in a large company will understand that nothing is fast. You could set the task of watching paint dry for an hour and the meeting to discuss the process would last 3 hours.
I am not saying Bidstack is a large company, however the companies they are dealing with ARE. This means that they are limited by the speed of who they are dealing with. Each company will have multiple departments who will need to discuss, amend and finalise plans. This is not a simple "Oh so you want ads in your games? Cool, here they are." Even a simple job gets tied up with pointless meetings where one guy suggests something which causes more meetings with different departments. All it takes is one higher up to have a question or misunderstanding and boom, meeting hell.
Again, I get the frustration, but talking about tanking the SP down to the request of a potential acquisition, is laughable. I will agree with JD making mistakes in regards to promising update times if he wasn't 100% sure he could keep to them, it's the folly of many people, if you don't have all the control on timelines, don't pretend you do to get out of a present jam, it will always go wrong and you will have to explain yourself.
