Doubt it wildT, I have a few different European (and Global) LI & EV related stocks, and SAV is the one that I think will break cover first (up) on their current bands.
Ive my eyes on SAV too, just think it could drop lower. If it goes it 3 I will take a position.
r7632, if you follow Bacanora on twitter they have been putting the odd picture up, there was a pic of roads being built on the way to the mine recently.
As for nationalisation... well, anything might happen in the future, but China is Mexico's second largest market for goods and they also import various necessities such as oil products, petrol etc, so they would have to be careful before they annoyed them!
r7, And IMO the engineering package confirmation will be the catalyst to take the SP substantially up.....the project becomes real and touchable to the current unbelievers....;-)
I don't see Ganfeng or the Chinese Government not going forward with their increase to 28.8%.
But BCN already raised enough money without this to fund mine build out.
I sure their 18-24 Months build estimate included roads and site preparation - and these started as soon as the fund raising was completed which was a couple of months back.
I think they already adjusted the cost estimates down. But not by much. I can't see any change up or down being large or having much effect.
I think the engineering package might have interesting details on the Lithium Hydroxide production setup. They might also confirm initial production is targeted at 20tpa - as mentioned in one of the interviews.
Last time I looked, it said Bacanora on the building.....zzzz
r7632 - there's more immediate news due, the final engineering packages from Ganfeng. Ultimately, until we have these we will not know the exact cost of construction. They are hoping to reduce overall capex. When the engineering package is issued and construction properly starts (ie not just access roads) then we will see a solid growth. At this point, Ganfeng could probably stall or back out or not commit, hence market being cautious. Needs to be seen, not just agreed.
FYI - production is more than 2 years away, not 18 months.
I'd like to see pictures or video of progress like you can find with the New Tesla Gigafactory Texas, Berlin, and Shanghai.
Progress on upgrading roads. Leveling of site for processing facility. Just to see things moving along.
It's kinda hard to predict what's going to force the SP higher. Confirmation of Ganfeng increase to 28.8%
Completion of roads
Completion of site leveling
First structures being built on site
First deliveries of equipment to site
Completion of utility connections
Increase in Lithium sale prices - increasing NPV
Are now 18 months from first production. Time is passing since funding completed. That is the work had started and is progressing although not on daily videos like SpaceX and the Gigafactories.
Also I don’t know what else can Secker do at the moment other than to say what he already has, which is that both Bacanora and Ganfeng are confident that our licenses won’t be touched, as stated by president of Mexico and the government
As I said mate, time will tell, meanwhile good luck to us
Coldjoe not sure it's fair to say 'scared' into selling, and this board has said enough times about existing licenses not being touched. Sentiment to that region remains low and in all honesty Secker and co done nothing to alleviate any of that imo.
I don't agree on some deal between Mexico and Gangfeng cutting us out, we are protected but also can't say have 100% faith in either those 2 players when it comes to deals...
However post SAV placing if I wasn't invested long term and prepared to ride it out, id argue their placing must see better performance than we have and dumppunter will be justified in short term.
Thank you Joily, I don’t know if the nationalisation will happen, but if it will I believe that they won’t touch existing licenses as stated. It’s a shame that meanwhile chaps like dumbpunter get scared into selling due to this uncertainty, but time will tell who was right, meanwhile I’m staying put and looking forward to the start of construction phase and the inevitable rise in the price of Lithium in the coming months/years
The company responds to the query of nationalisation in this October 2020 presentation. 24mins 5 secs
https://youtu.be/vdt_AzQXmDY
hopefully they won't shaft you there when they will need more finance in order to bring it into production, we are good to go here - all current licenses will not be affected by the possible nationalization, either way time will tell, ATB
good luck
I’m currently building a EV focused portfolio and this company caught my eyes so I bought in at 43 last week. I also bought TPGY (EVbox), which I personally think its currently way oversold.
What do you think of TPGY? What other EV stocks do you own?
