Think I’ll stick with Hargreaves and Lansdown. Seen major issues with Freetrade and people unable to get there money back or even make a trade when they need to. It doesn’t have the options that other brokers have and lots of users often experience errors and problems. Not great in a fluid market where shares are changing constantly to suddenly find you can’t buy or sell but I guess there will be those lucky ones out there that the app works for them without a hitch.
I think the small buys/sells are because Freetrade recently added BCN to their list of available shares, so those with the app can buy without paying any commission. Probably people using loose change to buy the odd share here and there.
37.99 paid
Letting it move a bit now though. 37p paid
Probs just someone with a load of shares selling in batches every time it hits 36p. Luckily there's as many people picking them up at the same rate. When the seller(s) shed what they want, hopefully, the buying will continue and we can finally move up?
How do small trades control the price?
Should add if major share holders or company employees were trying to control the price for there own gain with prior knowledge of any news, that would be highly illegal and should be reported.
Price monitoring has nothing to do with it. They tend to happen when there is a lot of activity in a fast moving market. Google the definition. Think the price is relatively stable because there is very little activity. Small automated trades can be used to control the price, but there has not really been enough of it to constitute that. These discussions are getting a bit misleading.
I for one am happy that the price is stable and slowly building.
I thought the previous placings with Ganfeng and M&G were preceded by price monitoring announcements. Giving a clear warning something was about to happen.
I agree it looks like someone trying to manipulate price though.
Yes I suspect all these silly small buys are some way of keeping the price around 35p.Not seen the price so stable for so many days running.Usually a placing is based on an average price over a number of days so maybe Ganfeng or M&G may be adding before good news comes out.Surely now we must get some idea of what Ganfeng's strategy is to expedite matters?
