Barkby, for those that are unaware, is in the process of exiting its non-core investments. Sky quoted insiders saying CSS was up for sale for £50 million. The current BARK Mcap is just over £10million. i.e. If a deal of this magnitude occurs the share price is going to soar.
* Sky report: "City sources said Barkby Group is working with financial advisers on a strategic review, with CSS said to be valued in the region of £50m. Barkby is understood to have decided to sell the business to focus on building a portfolio of roadside real estate assets, including drive thru restaurants, convenience retail and EV charging infrastructure".
There's a reason BARK is up over 100% in the last month. 3 years ago this was over 40p a share and 2 years ago it was over 25p a share. If a multi million deal is announced for CSS those 25p- 40p a share days will be mirrored again here...
Good luck, Brighty
Did expect Sky News to run an article....... 50 million for CSS.
Five-year global license for its SleepEngine® platform with Mammoth Group.....expect a lot more licensing deals coming ....see this being over 20.00+ in the near term great time to buy imho
I had no idea they made bed's talk about a saturated market. I learned a lot from Eve sleep and their constant need to spend fortunes on advertising which in the end destroyed them. Is Bark doing the same or just making the beds to supply to the retailers ?
Under the terms of the Agreement, MIL will incorporate CSS's sleep technology into a new Smart Mattress product line it has developed. For each CSS-enabled mattress MIL produces, it will pay CSS a royalty of £75 per single mattress and £150 per double mattress.
MIL's Smart Mattress product line will be launched at the end of September with manufacturing commencing within the next six months. It expects to produce approximately 5,000 mattresses in the year following launch.
Should break past 10.00 early doors and hopefully may even get to 13.00 -15.00 range with a bit of volume on this great RNS deal
AWESOME 5 YEAR LICENSING DEAL
Yes, more encouraging news today from BARK with the company confirming:
* "CSS has agreed a five-year global license for its SleepEngine® platform with Mammoth Group"
* "CSS remains in advanced negotiations with several household names" regarding a "number of new multi-year enterprise licensing deals for its SleepEngine® technology".
* "Further announcements will be made as soon as practicable when these licences are signed".
This is perfect timing for BARK as it works with financial advisers on a strategic review to sell CSS, which SKY News reported last week was "valued in the region of £50m".

And what a bonus if they get anywhere near £50mill.

Yes and in Sept 2022 the BARK share price was over 20p and in 2020 the SP went to 42p+. i.e. the scope for a very big re-rate is very possible here once the news we are expecting is announced...
Good luck, Brighty
I wonder whether sky will do a follow up piece when the sale goes through. Would be fantastic pr
Wise. This has been over a year in the making.
