Expected a bit of retrace after persistent steady rises recently. JP Moron moved their target from £3.10 to £3.40 and neutral rating just 3 weeks before release AVST half year results, which one would have thought might possibly give them a more accurate report on the situation. Why on earth do these dum asses get paid for what they laughingly call research.
Testing new highs again seems to be tracking the Dow! Having enjoyed free internet security for years with this company am now enjoying rapid share growth. Long may we rise
Extraordinary drop to £2.92 before racing back up. Must be expecting another thumping set of results early august
Nice move, by a director donating 55000 of his shares to Magic Bridge foundation but still holds over 3% of company
Currency rate is 6.8p dividend per ordinary share ifor the financial year ended 31 December 2018 to be paid on 17 June 2019 to those who were registered at the close of business on 24 May 2019.
If you look at the charts this looks quite normal trading pattern and enabled me to hop aboard as I had intended before the recent rise!
Big single day drop?
Now EX dividend as hidden in the AGM results RNS of 23rd May
'
" a dividend of 8.6 US Cents per ordinary share in the Company for the financial year ended 31 December 2018 will be paid on 17 June 2019 to those shareholders registered at the close of business on 24 May 2019. "
Seems very solid in revenue and earnings, and it is good to see debt being paid down as it shows the business is still generating a considerable amount of excess cash.....
Great to see such potential moving forward and with the continuation of the dividend, ticks quite a few boxes! Hopefully it will get some more positive exposure to the press as it grows!
DYOR
It can take time for investors to process the annual report, be patent and it will bounce back. After all, it was a great annual report with plenty of positives and future outlook.
So the company is doing well making substantial profit so why is the share price falling ?

Wed, 27th Mar 2019 09:06
LONDON (Alliance News) - Sybil Holdings SARL has nearly halved its stake in FTSE 250-listed cybersecurity firm Avast PLC, UBS AG said on Wednesday.
Sybil has sold 95.4 million Avast shares, worth 10% of the company, at 284 pence each, netting it GBP271 million. It now holds a stake just under 13%.
Avast will not get any proceeds from the sale, after which Sybil has agreed not to sell any more shares for 90 days.
Sybil is owned by funds advised by affiliates of CVC Capital Partners Advisory Co Luxembourg SARL.
UBS acted as sole bookrunner for the share sale. Avast shares were down 5.4% on Wednesday morning at 280.80p each.

#Avast - #Sybil holdings places 95.4m shares at 284p. This comes hot on the heels of CEO announcing intention to step down less than one year after IPO. #AVST
anyone have any ideas?
But I do Vulcan. Missed the bottom but bought in at 2.94
but the market does not agree with me!
As expected very good results.
The only issues I see are debt is still high (but reducing) and share bonus' are up significantly
Still a strong hold though
Would like to see them target the SME market more to build business away from consumer
answering my own question there is a Times newspaper article putting AVST as their share of the week.....
The steady price rises of the last couple of weeks seems to be accelerating.......anyone have any idea why?
I believe that Avast have taken over AVG. I have used AVG for many years quite happily but recently when I updated AVG my DNS now is being Hi-Jacked and diverted to Avast DNS destroying the privacy afforded by a VPN connection
Suggest you all do a DNS ;eaks test to check your own connections
Is the nature of Avast advertising a measure of the company? Intrusive cookies that obscure what you are doing & dire warnings of the expiry of cover that you didn't know you had in the first place are not, in my opinion, the actions of a reputable company. I am avoiding it like the plague.
