Blimey.
Ridiculous...bounce coming.
Atm this probably has as much cash as the market cap and they are still expecting to grow... investors aren't a patient bunch I know.
Perhaps we could do with some of that hot air over hear. BIDS up 16% today and 500% since December. Albert down 36% today and 50% since December.
Albert have spent quite a bit of money putting a marketing team in place and it seems that costs are ramping up faster than revenues. Quite a poor update today.
You didn't answer the question, who are the big boys in THIS space who are doing what albert do?
BIDS is clearly getting ramped on that board. not a single well reasoned post on there, mostly about how much money fortnite has made which is completely irrelevant, or how big the industry is... which is completely irrelevant. Perhaps this is fueling the share price, markets are irrational after all.
Not saying it's not a bad proposition but I like to see reasoning rather than hot air
Bidstack are the big boys on the space - as of 4 months ago, there
was no one else doing what they do -
so they have the whole market. I think the share price action is indicator of the business model / potential. As of now the SP is giving Albert a big thumbs down and Bidstack a big thumbs up.
But anyway - good luck with your agnostic stock.
Gaming is a bigger industry than music and films? So what? They're not making games are they.
Oh, really, who are the big boys in this space, and what share of the market do they have?
Share 4,
Ruffling the feathers of the big boys - this applies equally to Albert also. Companies will always gravitate to profitable spaces.
Advertising to a certain demographic - its a massive demographic. Gaming is a bigger Industry than Music & Films put together. BIdstacks potential market is massive. There’s a couple of interesting video’s from Justin Waite on Vox Markets that outline what Bidstack is all about.
Alberts list of clients is impressive - its still relatively small at this point and they are burning through heaps of cash. You can only truly say they are competing if they are making money , otherwise Albert is not sustainable. Next earning report should reveal if its on the right path.
Here's another point for you to take on board. A companies marketing department has brought in Albert to optimise it's campaign distribution. It is agnostic to where it advertises and shows a high level of ROI, staff have to be trained to use it properly, and it becomes an incumbent so therefore nobody wants to spend the time replacing it when it's doing the job well.
Now consider an in game advertising platform that reaches a certain demographic for a certain cost, you think that's difficult to get rid of when it starts ruffling the feathers of companies worth hundreds of billions when people only care about the CPA?
It's not after many years, it's after a short period of pivoting actually, since they pivoted to a SAAS model they've taken on an impressive list of blue chip clients, the important thing being the revenue is recurring and the products ROI is compelling for the customers. In one instance the client has even become a partner they believed in it so much.
Albert is already competing I'm not sure what isn't clear about that from the client list.
Bidstack has a small number of contracts with some game suppliers, these however, will have to renewed on a game by game basis, they are at POC stage competing against Facebook, Google, Youtube for market share, those are some big companies to go up against. Furthermore they've raised significantly less than Albert.
I would say that tripling revenue is rapid expansion, I'm not sure what other measure you want, that is very good for a SAAS product at this stage of development.
The cash burn is a concern, and it is a punt, but it is one that I am happy to take.
Share4,
I have taken a punt on both but I’ll tell you why I think Bidstack is more promising:
1) U state that Albert is rapidly expanding ?? The news flow is poor and there is little evidence as far as I can see that it is rapidly expanding. I know the last report said that revenues nearly tripled - but this is from an extremely low base and is after many years?? I would have expected something in the internet / computer age to expand much more rapidly if they truly had a disruptive technology.
2) there up against the biggest companies in the world in marketing. There all using AI / smart marketing - what makes you think that Albert can
Compete?
3) Bidstack are already generating revenue after only a year or two in business - I expect that they will report a massive increase in revenue in the coming months reflective of their truly disruptive technology. I also expect profitability and / or a buy out on the near future which I dont see at Albert. Alberts revenues are about a third of costs after many years!!
4) Do you have any recent research to demonstrate rapid expansion.
Looking forward to your response and as always DYOR!
Not sure why you think their model is more viable though, all it would take is someone to get up in arms about advertising to kids through games and that business is dead
Would rather take a punt on an agnostic AI platform serving blue chip clients , recognises by the industry as disruptive, and expanding rapidly
Not sure why it's strange as I've never posted here much only to tell you to DYOR
I'm still a holder, thanks for the tip
Share4,
You’ve gone strangely silent. Ok - i’ll give you a share tip on a not too dissimilar company - early stage, first in space, advertising ......
Bidstack PLC.
It appears to have a more viable business model than Albert and crucially unlike Albert have gone 300% since listing about 1 year ago.
These are large sells I think I own the company now.
Share4,
Waiting for you to comment on the SP.
Bought some reds should be blue.
Another lackluster update - Managed to burn through over $12M on revenues of $4.6M though they did get a mention in that comic (Gartners Magic Quadrant).
Share4,
28 to 22 to 19p - Gartners Magic Disapearing act!?
Wn
Don’t know why you dont buy a red nose, join the Magic Circle and audition as a Clown - I think you could make money!
Share
Results due out around 27/28 of March. Trading statement suggests that this could be an extraordinary year for Albert.
so sell up then, I personally don't want to see you make any money out of this anyway
Looks like this Gartners Magic circle sh_t really works 28p to 22p since we last spoke. I think Tommy Cooper was a member of the same club !
I'll add you to my fan club then tony, ta ta for now
