London South East caught up with Eldur after the release of several significant RNS's. The company is changing names to Amaroq Minerals. And the early indications are that Vagar Ridge is going to a be a world class gold deposit. As Eldur says: "We have already discovered what we believe is a massive copper deposit, we have already discovered rare earths, we have already discovered graphite, we already have a discovery of vanadium and titanium - not to mention a world class gold deposit at Vagar." Each time London South East catch up with Eldur Olaffson, CEO at AEX Gold (AEXG), he seems to have significantly added to the company story.
As Eldur says: "We have already discovered what we believe is a massive copper deposit, we have already discovered rare earths, we have already discovered graphite, we already have a discovery of vanadium and titanium - not to mention a world class gold deposit at Vagar."
AEX is listed on the TSXV in Toronto and has a secondary listing on AIM in London. And to better align with the basket of mineral riches which AEX has discovered in Southern Greenland they are changing their name to Amaroq Minerals shortly.
That's just one of a number of significant announcements from #AEXG in the last month.
The company have acquired a significant minerals exploration licence from Orano, principally a Uranium group, which makes AEX the largest acreage holder in Southern Greenland with 7,615 kilometres. Greenland apparently isn't keen on uranium mining and extraction licences are hard to come by.
The Varga Ridge gold exploration results were also published in May. Eldur says: "We think we are sitting on one of the biggest and most exciting gold exploration world class deposits, which is what makes it so exciting to be working in this area."
With so much mineral potential in Southern Greenland, asset allocation is going to be very important. Eldur explained they have their own rigorous methodology, and that for gold the priority is as follows.
1. Nalunaq gold mine, which will become a 'green' concept mine, providing a blue print to be followed and adapted in future mines.
2. Vagar as discussed above - potential world class deposit, 4x 3 km, with other similar deposits nearby.
3. Nanoq - gold/copper
And for green strategic minerals the priority is:
1. Sava (IOCG - Iron Ore, Copper, Gold belt)
2. Stendalen (Iron, Vanadium, Titanium)
3. Paatusoq (Rare Earths Niobium, Tantalum and Zirconium)
