lol you dont get it the last few days have proved it
Thanks for the offer. But no thanks.
lordloadsoflolly, Now you have got it :-) If I could talk to you away from this board I would and it would make sense
the stock market is a casino and manipulated a lot I will not explain my trading strategy to you on this site if we could talk of this BB I would explain :-)
This share oscillates around the £14 mark. That’s the direction of travel in the short term. Tech sell off on its last legs; tide has already turned, Abcam very well placed for the bounce.
denby69 - I now see why you said "you should never pay attention to what people post". Last Wednesday you claimed "I will start shorting this share and I believe that I will make loads of money doing it". Two days later you proudly announced your short at £11.68. Since then, the price has risen to £11.91 at the time of writing. So far so bad.
LOL SHORT AT 11.68 :-) JUST GONE down but to early to take it off
"you should never pay attention to what people post"
Added! On the basis of the above comment and the fact that the car park is always full when I pass by.
so you don't agree then?, I am going by the graphs,
denby69 - in your own words from 4 February "these boards are like the beano comic and ... you should never pay attention to what people post".
lordloadsoflolly.
Looking at this share, I have change my stance on this share regardless of news I will start shorting this share and I believe that I will make loads of money doing it,
Sadly jim_w, that was a forlorn hope. But at some point, what looks like increasingly indiscriminate selling of anything other than "value" stocks will end.
Let's hope the 10.50 really was the bottom today - looks pretty cheap at that price based on what always looked like a positive year-end statement. It's been a brutal ride down from 17.00 at the end of last year - go figure!
About time rbc got their act together and this donky started to rise, Thank GOD I have got gsk
Bloo** algorithms
Looks like 11.96 hope it is the bottom
lordloadsoflolly,
Even though you have ****ged me off i have agreed with you twice :-0
There are fewer surer ways to lose money than by following broker ratings IMHO. Brokers & analysts nearly always have a vested interest (either holding the shares they comment on or being paid by the client to conduct "research"). When things don't go to plan, they simply change their mind, adjusting their recommendation from a strong buy to a hold or even an avoid. Do your own research then follow your gut instinct. But unless you've money to burn, it very rarely pays to heed brokers or analysts.
alphawave should move up tomorrow morning Denby.
look at all the brokers ratings lordloadsoflolly lol
denby69 - re: your last post "you should never pay attention to what people post". Don't worry - in your case, nobody does.
Trouts here is a thought for you, Why would someone sell ABC after the last Trading results ???????????
I am positive on ABC. these boards are like the beano comic and very highly censored you should never pay attention to what people post.
At least denby69 has had the decency to note that has sold, and, let's face it, there could be any number of reasons for selling - off the top of my head these include, better investment opportunities, changed opinion, re-balancing portfolio, cutting losers and strengthening winners, needing cash.
Historically markets have risen and there is no reason to believe that this will change. January started off so well, but descended into correction territory and Feb is not actually much better. Negatively, we have inflation, Ukraine stand-off and SARS-CoV-2 that is not yet in endemic stage. On the positive side we have high vaccine rollout which is allowing economies and countries to re-open albeit with caution. Headwinds remain such as January 6 riots investigation, Mid-term elections drawing closer in America, new budget in India and rising interest rates.
Although these may not impact ABC directly, the mood is for caution to be executed and thus markets are prone to exaggerated swings. Volatility provides opportunity, though I prefer stability.
trouts - yes, that's quite a turnaround from someone who said just 10 days ago on this very board "just a waiting game until it is back up to 1600". I'd draw your own conclusions about the motives & reliability of said poster if I were you.
Hi denby69, I'm interested to know what made you decide to sell now? Looking at your previous posts you seemed pretty positive and nothing seems to have materially changed in the interim.
