IAND, " any surplus should be reinvested into the business."
Good one. Nice to see a healthy sense of humour.
Now where do we stand on Selfridges/Harrods/Harvey Nichols etc? Or the pharma sales?
The dividend suggestion came from the previous CEO, and even at that time there was widespread scepticism. NT has made no inference about dividends and wisely so. If we hit the numbers we think we could, then down the line it could be revisited, but at the moment any surplus should be reinvested into the business.
definitely no divi and anyway any surplus funds should be ploughed back into the business at this stage and not to shareholders
MrNation - conservative numbers? really? 500k per month on chill/zoe products, in the first 3 months it took £36,000 revenue whilst it is expected to be better with new tie ups like mrcheckout and it being christmas (no idea if this is the best time for products like this or in the new year for health reasons such as with gym membership uptake) to even suggest the numbers you are is over the top to put it mildly. Ah and then there is the jam tomorrow seeds, which just as with the retail side you have no idea what the success of it will be.
Getting some decent sales volume on products and bringing in anything on the seeds would be a great start and a good foundation to build on but to suggest your numbers are conservative at this point is just plain ridiculous. Your trying to convince people a new entry into the market with a start up of 1.5 million without any brand awareness outside of the company and very little influence is going to be generating circa 1.5 million a month and can start paying dividends less than 6 months from now? fantasy land.
if i was to even entertain the possibility that that could happen, why the hell would i want the company giving me a dividend at this point anyway? if things really took off as well as that i would be expecting any BOD or CEO worth anything to be reinvesting that money to expand acreage and production. I know never say never is a well know phrase, but dividend Q2 2020 isn't going to happen, no chance.
No need to answer MrN..........!
the Div paid out to investors, if it happens, will be a lot more than your Divs BS...........!
All the best (TIA............ no Idea......... youths eh....... ;)
MrN, Do you still expect a dividend in Q2 2020 and if so how much do you think it will be?
TIA.
By the sounds of it Chesh, BS is on the bridge and half way over the railings.
Are you getting angry...........?
Grrrrr......... :)
All the best (lol ........... please don't, I have bridge :()
With a dearth of seeds, prospects of rationing, monopoly pricing power over our patented seeds, cleverness of NT, pharma supplies, Mr Checkup, 67 shops, Leafyquick, unique cosmetics, vertical integration from contract manufacturer to shelf - I am surprised that we are languishing at a mere £13m market cap.
Exactly teamBH and MrN - that is EXACTLY how I read it!
Shot yourself in the foot! Quotes:
'So far, Paterno has lost money on seeds that didn’t sprout and flower as promised. Some of the seeds were males even though he thought he was purchasing only the females that produce the cannabidiol, known as CBD, that he wants.'
So you need the right seeds, not any old rubbish, and you need the right plant strain, with the right CBD/THC ratio and good growth characteristics! Exactly what our Trevor and Antonio are all about. So maybe now you understand why we pulled back on the outdoor crop expansion too and are sticking with 16 acres for 40,000 of our own plants to make our own organic CBD that we know has low impurity levels.
Thus concentrating on high quality seeds and high margin product sales IS the way to go. Nick Tulloch is not stupid, or rash. He is choosing the right path and progressing carefully and responsibly to some exciting looking profit numbers.
Hence those 14p and 18p option for starters.
Read it all and factor in all the AMATEUR growers who will not plant Hemp again next year having had a bad experience and leave this valuable space for the dedicated, professional growers and outfits such as Zoetic.
# still struggling.......... :(

Laugh............. I struggled to spell it.......... :()))))
All the best ( "ration supplies".............. massive lol......... ! :)
teamBH, With the shortage of seeds do you think that the government would have to step in to ration supplies?
TIA.
this was in 2019... just after the US Farm Bill kicked off the CBD industry big time.
Now with demand for CBD expected to outstrip supply and high quality feminized high CBD low THC seeds in short supply in 2019, do you think out carefully bred, tested, feminised hemp seed is going to struglle to find a buyer??
If so, try reading this again: https://hempindustrydaily.com/shortage-of-cbd-seeds-clones-will-leave-some-farmers-out-of-hemp-game-this-year/
