Although I wear rose tinted spectacles, I doubt we will get to 175 tons next month. I would be very happy to achieve 100 tons a month for October or November, I would take that as a sign of increasing production. Mind you if we were to get to nameplate ( or two thirds of it)before 2022 I think sentiment would be extremely positive, however, I consider that unlikely.
Safetynam " I feel once we get to 100 tons a month we will see positive change in sentiment."
The FID and Nameplate figures are for 225 W + 33t Sn a Total of 258t per month. I think if you up your expectations of a sentiment change to about 2 thirds of nameplate consistently, you might be closer. (170t) .
I accept that I am considered to view things with rose tinted glasses. We have had some big issues to resolve this year, flooding and r3cent storms causing problems being the biggest. The recent power outage was not good. Supply chain issues too. The September figures were bad. All of that I can accept. Last night I saw on the telly about the floods in Germany and hour twenty people attending church walked down to a car park to move their cars and all were killed. Twenty personal tragedies due to unforeseen weather issues. These things do happen and it can be terrible, in our case it had delayed the mine and the other issues are being felt elsewhere eg supply chain. For me it’s about putting in measures to prevent or mitigate future occurrences of the same things. To be fair management are doing that. Moving forward we should seeing improved production, And I certainly hope there are no more unforeseen events. I feel once we get to 100 tons a month we will see positive change in sentiment.
However, it’s certainly the case thatMM said in his 12th(?) Oct interview that September had been good, and as he would have had the nines by then that would seem to be not correct, unless he had expectation that the quarter figures would be well received and thus by some strange logic September was in fact good. So that was poor company communication in my opinion.
I am now expecting better and more so intend figures for November.
Good news for many here is that I intend posting less again here now.. as this is now a lowish priority bet for me, versus many others...
But I still have plenty of hope for this share over time.. and, generally speaking, I don't think it's dire here currently ....or else i would have dumped more again last week, in truth.. I think it's very tricky granted - and far trickier than I expected by now - but key commodity prices are great and looking like staying so for a good while, at least.. and that could easily be the saviour here, hopefully.. that said I did bring my bet here down a bit further again at the end of last week, with a view to adding that back in due course at a lower s/p level.... as even the thought of a potential next raise soonish to come here might see the s/p go into 5p's in coming weeks.. hopefully it doesn't for the long suffering here - as I still have over half my peak bet in play here now, and me too - .. and even if there is a raise in coming months, it's the high averagers who this will, sadly, effect a lot instead of the sub 10p's for eg imho... Altogether, I can see this business getting stronger in output steadily month on month as we go... and maybe this s/p getting back over 15p decently into next year, hopefully....
For the sake of clarity, situation is far from dire. It’s disappointing, frustrating, infuriating…but not dire. We aren’t getting a break but the hard working employees are doing their best. I just find MM’s communication and IR skills woefully underwhelming
Careful else you too may be branded an idiot by arrogant Kevin for speaking truths. This is dire and anyone who says otherwise is deluded, a paid ramper or both. Well said. My sentiments exactly.
The reason you need to do an interview or speak to investors after producing numbers that paint a picture so wildly different to what you said in an interview less than a couple of weeks earlier, when you must have known how bad it was in September but still made it out to be good.
Is so we don’t see the usual desperately sad picture of the sp slipping.
Regardless of whether you are a fan or hater you but have to concede that his last interview was awful and the numbers were bad as compared to what he led to believe, and given that it was 12th October, he must have known. So an interview (preferably someone other than MM as he has lost all credibility, but guess we are stuck with him) would be nice, what would be even nicer would be the video conference we were promised in July/August time…..
