"Avocet. Why don't you just give it a rest? We all know by now, gutter is a complete moron, who crawled out of the gutter. Time to give a rest. Just ignore him. You seem to just love having an argument."

You're the one who continually reacts.
Now you're lecturing others!
You're a manchild caricature of a real human.
Embarrassing.

Gutter you are always sad and afraid when it goes down, so you I think you care a great deal. You care because you have skin in the game, and sadly it's going against you. You predicted 50p by February. Looks like you are very mistaken.

The security approval is one of approving processes to overcome security concerns.
Vod already had to establish a security committee to manage its relationship with E& - so it is hardly surprising that it can come up with a similar solution for 3/CKHH.
What the CMA will do is anyone’s guess….bureaucrats may be looking to their future under a new government rather than care about the current govt….and the election could come before a decision which someone is going to criticise…..there are probably no votes in supporting the deal.
Jus startinge too rolle owver now lyke I fowt it wood.
Avoset 321 wyll be dissappointted sadley agane

@mole_man - I think you are suffering from being too close to this company for too long. Yes, it will be a long time before investors break even to £2.40 or whatever high point but that misses the point for new investors today. Spain, Italy, Hungary (and India) are over and Vodafone is a much smaller company .
What investors need to look at today is how the smaller company compares to the market and if there is sufficient upside to improve from the current position. How does it compare to the sector?
I think on most measures Vodafone is looking positive right now. Please tell me where in Telecoms you are seeing better value right now? The opportunity is not Vodafone doing something amazing to become what it was in 2000s - they will never do that. The opportunity is that growth in Telecoms market as prices harden results in re-alignment of Vodafone (and BT) to the sector.
Reducing share of only growth market as have no cash to develop it due to woeful financial management pandering to profit now investors, with that strategy still firmly in place.
Strong sell.
