Next week will be the last time i will be able to do the prediction game guys, as i will be away for a few weeks, but if someone else fancies taking it over, please feel free
Based on the vod nasdaq price of 16.51 the current sp should be about 131.--- As the nas' is open until Friday, I will make my guess then. I think things are looking up. Have a good jubilee holiday everyone, & Vod save the Queen.
Good man and a good guess.....but i'm gonna raise you to 129.2......
Cheers Robleo and Sotonspike.
I'll go for 127.25 for next week.

GLA - C
yes holding up well at the mo.....
Looks fairly even, for a change. I feared a larger drop.
Today and next Monday will be interesting to see.
Will buyers now step in for the drop, or will age old selling ensue?
Hi Soton, sorry but i haven't been able to get back to you until now, good choices there i think for the reasons you mentioned, lgen is my second holding in my sipp next to Lloyds and i also have Aviva in my isa, to be fair to the more recent vod holders, if they bought in here last year around 103 to 110 then i can understand why they would be happy with this share around 7% div, and they would also be in profit when the sp rises to 140, but a lot of the longer holders like myself are under water here, but as dan has pointed out to me before that was in the past, so the choices here for me are either sell at a loss, or top up should this drop down again or do nothing
what a strange day mate Dan on the happy pills? hope we don't get a Dan on steroids tomorrow, or it might be safer to stay away lol, Hi Dan only joking mate
Balls balls crystal balls.....one thing i do know ex div tomorrow so gonna drop a bit.....3.833p to be precise.....
Cheapshareboy. Only you, me & crystal balls know the future? but we are keeping it to our selves. I see £2, but only when I am ****ed? 1.40 will do me for the time being.
Robina - it’s possible vod goes back to 110p…however you are guessing it is NOT a guarantee as you assume. Past is not a proof of future.
Also it may never go back there. It also may go back to 200p but I don’t know the future
Robina all you are telling me is you don't have any more idea than I do. The up & down pattern is with hindsight. No good for the future. Stop blaming sods law all the time. The odds are against you making money trading in & out of vod,or any other share. The if only I had done that, way of thinking will never work. But good luck though, because that is what you need, but from what you say, you are not very lucky, are you? Why do you always think, whatever you do, the opposite will happen? makes you sound like a loser? The reason you lose is because of the dealing charges, which you have to be very clever to overcome. They may seem small, but they sure add up.
dan there is a pretty reliable and up and down pattern with Vod, similar to others I own like KLR.
I must confess to being impatient and not capitalising enough on that. Also when the market is moving up there is a natural urge to add to positions. That always seems to cause a reversal like the market is waiting for me to do that.
So my new resolution is always to wait. As sure as anything Vod will be back to 110 ish. As sure as anything it'll then be talked up again.
Robleo hope you don't mind me adding to your question.....my best holding has been LGEN....good solid divi even paid fully during the pandemic...I managed to get Aviva at 245 topped up just under 400 this also has been a good investment so far
Shell. All others are only good for trading. But just when you think you're ahead ....
Robina, you have a large variety of shares, which would you say has been the best performer? By that i mean paying a good dividend and increase in capital inline with inflation
Hello soton, It's not being negative to face the facts, there are many other positive's to take into account. I think fleccy may be the best man for that?
Hello Robina. You say with the right timing it would seem better to buy low, & sell high? Sorry but surely that is just stating the blindingly obvious isn't it? The question is how to buy low & sell high? If I new that I would be very rich. What was it Basil Fawlty said? Something like, You get 10 out of 10 for stating the bleeding obvious? Only joking of course. No disrespect meant, because this is the very nice person chat thread, for one day only?! God save the Queen. As Johnie rotten would say.
