This all sounds a bit more positive. Fingers crossed
I saw a picture last week of it being lowered into position. Picture taken by someone working on the site at Woodsmith
As non-engineer watched all material - still not clear if SBR is down there,
but looks like chances are 65% it is.

Agreed Yuri. If we can we need to look through the fog a little bit.
There is understandably a lot of financial machinations going on right now, and I don't deny they are important (if not vital) to success.... but behind the fog there is an engineering project going on that the company has a strong desire to deliver. Business works in many ways and on many levels. All I'm proposing is that DMC could be a good strategic partner and possibly willing. They know the crack and have been in the game long enough to deliver this aspect of the project.
All IMO etc etc DYOR.

LB. been thinking the same for some time.
GLA..
I hope it's really SBR sitting full weight on a ground without any holding gear and no visible clearances around (from twitter link by Myosotis):

I do agree what DMC and other partners quite likely to step forward in order to stay in with attractive longer term contracts (as lovelyboy implies, and for them with right contracts it doesn't matter who owns project in the end), it also would be quite a work to disassemble SBR and transport it somewhere.
Optionally it can simply be stored in a hole (production or return one) atm, waiting for a next stage to get sorted and then .. full speed 10m/day down (100m/10days, 1000m/100days, ~130 days full 1500m depth)..
But it would be great to actually get a confirmation (progress update) from source instead of guessing.
My post yesterday regarding DMC went largely unnoticed (most folk seemed more interested in other matters) so here it is again as food for thought.

Apologies if this has been mooted before. Just been looking at DMC and Strabag's sites.
In particular DMC are "Committed to win-win client relationships based on shared risks and rewards", and are interested in developing "Innovative Projects Involving Technology-based Solutions" and future "Equity Partnerships". Perhaps this a bit of a stretch on my part but they also foster 'indigenous relations' engaging local communities into mining.
Given that these boys are currently on-site and (according to Bellers) the SBR is down in the fore shaft ready to start chewing, SSX could be a good fit with their business model/core values.
As I understand it, de-risking the shafts is one of the key elements to unlocking funding... but feel free to shoot me down.

Correct jonnybgood 50. The previous week I thought that I could see the partially assembled sbr through the trees. Last Thursday I could not see the the same piece of machinery from any angle around the whole perimeter. By the way from at least 500 meters away. There were cranes in that position and a much larger one close to the temporary winder. I was presuming the sbr was in the shaft. I really hope so. Phase 2 of my plan will tell if it comes off. I’m just waiting an answer from a very old mate. :-)
Here, look at the twitter post of the female of the latest article by DM. She had one pic in the tunnel of the TBM which was good to look at, but more interesting was the pic of the vertical tunnel, the secondary smaller tunnel within it which is to fit the SBR in seems to have a metal structure within it which can been seen if zoomed into.... I’ll leave you with that
Has it been mothballed? As yuri suggested in previous post. I’d be surprised if no one local hadn’t spotted it been moved to another location(being a huge structure weighing hundreds of tonnes).
Bellers said it was not there and possibly it was in position under ground. I hope this is correct, but yuri suggested that there was no holding gear above ground which this would need.
