Nice to see you jolly. How is your other half mannan doing?
so when to punt? if at all
What a piece of crap... 1m management fees taken each month and for exactly what..?
yep, somewhere hereabouts looks like decent punt ..clearly 9-10p better, but will we get opportunity again??
effectively put itself up for sale and a management buyout is a distinct possibility. Even with more write-downs the take-out SP would be double the current level surely?
background buyer plus this mornings 100k buy I guess. Wonder if any of their investments are just about to do something?
The rise?
per today's RNS we're on our way to multi-bagging . . . At the time of St Peter Port's admission to AIM, the company undertook to shareholders that every five years the shareholders would be afforded the opportunity to determine whether the Company should continue as an investing company admitted to trading on AIM or should instead be wound up by the Directors and the Investment Manager. In June 2012, shareholders of St Peter Port Capital approved a resolution that the Company should continue as an investing company and a similar resolution will be put to shareholders in May next year. The Directors and Investment Manager recognise that shareholders are likely to prefer an orderly winding-up of the Company to commence at that time or for there to be some other mechanism put into effect to realise the remaining value of the Company. We continue to seek liquidity throughout the portfolio and to investigate all options for delivering value to our shareholders.
"Investments in 19 companies* at year end valued at £20.9m £3.1 million held in cash" Mcap is just £6m.! SP should 3.5x more, a bit of positive sentiment returning and this will 3 bag! This RNS could be the caralyst.
will buy back in today, just moving to ctag or axm for a few days still a strong buy here - ill come back with more hopefully

It first showed off the screen in the madness of CES. We met up for a more detailed chat to find out where the screen technology is going next. It looks like you can expect the TVs soon, with smartphones and tablets shortly after. The TV itself displays in 3D at 2160p resolution without the need for glasses. It can also display full 4K with 8 million pixels in 2D. The signal can be from 3D Blu-ray, Sky 3D and even upscaled from 2D. Ultra-D TVs are also able to play 3D games glasses-free. The 3D works no matter where you're sitting in the room and doesn't suffer from the lines across the screen that other attempts before it have suffered from. Want to sell your phone? Here's how Ad by musicMagpie Stream will be licensing out the Ultra-D technology (a bit like Dolby does for audio) to a number of manufacturers including Hisense, Toshiba, Huawei, TCL and BOE with two more well-known Japanese brands to be announced shortly. Another interesting partner is Sky, which chose Stream for its plans to deliver 4K content and, potentially, glasses-free 3D. READ: Glasses-free 3D and 4K PS4 and Xbox One gaming to be shown by Stream TV next week Stream's seeQube box, separate to the TV, decodes messages using its 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 8074 processor with the latest Adreno 330 GPU. This technology would allow Sky to send a compressed 4K signal in the same bandwidth as it currently uses for HD. With Netflix set to start streaming 4K this year Sky needs to overcome this problem soon, and Ultra-D smarts in the Sky box could be the way to do this. It's this use of the Snapdragon processor which also makes glasses-free 3D at 2160p possible on smartphones and tablets. Stream has one of each in testing right now. The level of 3D can be controlled to create a flatter 2D image or a deeper 3D shot - ideal for those that otherwise struggle watching 3D comfortably. From our experience around the 130 per cent mark felt the perfect blend between 3D depth and the comfort of watching in 2D. We were also shown Casablanca upscaled to 3D and 2160p from a 1080p Blu-ray. It was a great surprise to see a level of depth added to the black and white film that really pulled us in. This is one area we could see the technology becoming popular - giving new life to old films that can be bought for cheap. The adult entertainment industry is also showing a big interesting in this
4k ultra tvs
Thanks that clears that up sorry for cryptic posts
There's a great podcast on vox markets saying now is the time to buy into this again.Take a look , lots of other tips also.
they reduced their holding in seven which is odd Cuz they were full of praise for it before St Peter Port has reduced the value of its holdings in Astrakhan, Jordan Energy and Mining and Seven Energy. In all three cases, this was to reflect the weaker price of crude oil. The reduction in the holding value of Seven Energy was notwithstanding the strong progress the company has made in growing sales and profits from supplies through its gas network in Nigeria. The whole strategy here was bizarre, taking small positions all over the shop like a headless chicken Hopefully Scottish lass can resolve For me the three biggies then are UAG , Brazil potash , ultrad tv and icur on a longer run if they can spin out that flu vaccine
investment in seven Seven Energy continues to make significant advances. In particular, as at 31 March 2015, it had quadrupled the volume of its gas deliveries year-on-year - delivering an average aggregate of 44 million cubic feet per day during the quarter ("MMcfpd") as against less than 10MMcfpd at the same time in the previous year. It now has four customers, with a fifth customer starting to take delivery of gas in the second quarter of 2015. Although the weaker oil price did affect revenues, we note that gas sales accounted for over 30 per cent of revenues in the first quarter. It is our expectation that if the company can sustain momentum in its gas business, it could be able to achieve an IPO in 2016. It's a good spot fiah, I apologise, so looks like this the potash the TVs icur possibly and UAG flotation can cause a serious uplift here Im gojng to put at least ten k in shortly
your very cryptic and I can hardly understand your posts Sppc made no mention of Severn in their report so how do u know they still have an investment in seven??
Seven energy same companies as seven energy Ltd and seven energy (UK) Ltd ? Same address in London. Maybe parent groups? Last year full results 6 oil and gas company's cost value same as half year results in November 6 oil and gas company's. Therefore still have it as of November anyway. Hope I have this right as they increased output according to results in may 2016
Apologies
but they made NO mention of Seven energy in their half yearly report?? Mediatainment - Stream TV Networks During the period, Stream TV continued to make good progress across multiple fronts. In particular, it resolved minor final issues relating to the mass manufacturing and mounting of the chip, successfully installed manufacturing plant in China and secured orders for its system. In addition to winning the prestigious Lumière Award (the highest honour for technology innovation to be granted by the Advanced Imaging Society), the company is now also show-casing its large screens at a number of high profile public spaces in California.
