Carp, I can’t agree with you. The forthcoming auction this month clearly has a wide range of excellent material in it and the estimates are low enough to attract many bidders. This will definitely be a big earner for SG
"Any of you considering selling out on here today because of the pretty obvious double top forming in this stock are welcome to join the party over at SGI where the shares are beginning to move upwards and where the party’s only just beginning"
Dump and dump. Guess who posted this on the ARB boards?
Debenhams all over again. Pumped it then lost £12k and claimed, you've guessed it, "manipulation".
.......I find that sort of behaviour a disgrace.
"Why are arb people on here? They are messing with my head."
I believe Pearls has been on other threads trying to drum up interest in SGI..........must have gone a bit too far on the ARB board.
Pearls must be so desperate to get out of this.
"I always suspect they are losing money on that old SGI stock, even when someone buys it at the expensive SGI price. I'd be interested on your thoughts on that Carpe?"
I imagine they can sell at 70% of cost and break even overall by the time they have added buyers premium. A few will sell better than expected so that always helps the rest. The problem will be the buyers premium will go to the auctions and the rest to the philatelic dept making their figures look worse.

I thought the auction catalogue was pretty poor, very few collections and well filled with old SG stock. Having spent a huge amount on an unnecessary shop refurb, I'm not expecting a rush to the Strand in April. Sorry for being a gloomster, but I wish it wasn't so.

SG’s March auctions look like they have some especially good material in them.
