You could be right there. Keep your powder dry or short the markets. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em !
Someone is still buying RRE by the looks of it. It aint over 'till fat bird sings....
MTS,
Not sure they are ignoring it, more like running her up ready to take her down, bigger swing bigger profits for them, whilst sucking in newbie traders and investors imo.
Trader fatigue. It's nice to take a break from the stress. 2nd wave of COVID looking highly likely this winter, so maybe sit it out and grab some bargains around Jan/Feb next year. The markets are ignoring what is happening in the US, maybe this is QE pumping up the markets.
Just popped it in Lloyds, and Barclays. No rush as I'm not a day trader, low risk and should still see a good return eventually without the volatility of oil. Like most here its been a hard few months. GLA
Some good shouts there Maverick to look in to. Another on the radar is Vodafone but I need further research.
I've just bought into Shell B. Lots of cash at hand and should weather the storm. They are still down 45% this year. I think I am addicted to trading stocks.....;o))
Aviva
LGEN
EVR
Fossil fuel shouts - ECO, PMO, SQZ, BP; obviously the debt is an issue with PMO, but have a look at their production that is coming on stream
I thought about calling one of the tel numbers at the bottom of page and asking what is going on. A £500-600m company selling for £250m, you would think, would attract another bid. I hope for £350m but as you say time is running out. Still no sign of the required paperwork from Viaro.
If I understand the Form 8.3s correctly there are a fair few organisations who have taken a few % directly or indirectly at around the offer price. I'm taking that as a signal that there is a possibility of an increased/higher offer.
Running out of time now though so I guess we'll know soon enough.
MT - Faron Pharmaceuticals (FARN)
Never been one for property myself too much hard work.
Last word on TILS the ceo sold his last venture for over $2bn.... $3bn would be a 10 bag from here and the current sp easily under pinned by StemPrintER. Adios.
Gamflin, I just don't see much of a return on flats. You pay about £100k for 2 beds in midlands and get about £475 PCM in rent. Take off about £1300 / yr in ground fees etc. It's better than the bank I suppose but is it worth the hassle when you can trade stocks for better returns?
Looks like we are 6 months too late for TILS multibag
I thought you were going to buy a flat?
I don’t give advice but I have moved 5% of my RRE into Tiziana ( TILS) as always DYOR. GL.
Not sure who still checks in on RRE but just wondering what the best recovery plays are. I am thinking recovery in oil / gas price plays, so I guess post COVID vaccine. My thoughts were:
- Shell at £12.58 are 50% of what they were pre-COVID. No problem with liquidity either can buy and sell in large quantities.
- JKX or Regal Petroleum (as was) as a European gas price recovery play but this looks a bit risky as Ukraine based I think. Also Nord Stream pipeline a factor.
Any none fossil fuel shouts?
TSC,
Enjoy your rewards and atb.
I am not upset per se, I, like many wanted to see a few more quid. I will take my half a million and go from here. And TK coming back to GKP is being talked about.
Not received any paperwork through the post yet. Should be posted out this week. We will get confirmed dates and we can then decide whether to chance the vote or not. They still need about 4.7m votes. A £350m offer would still be a good deal for someone. Give it until the end of next week maybe.
''feel a bit cheated...the story had further to go. This is oil though...never been fair''
oh FFS dry yer eyes
AND you're still bleating on about Todd Kozell 6 years after he left
yeah this is oil and if you don't think its fair you should go stick your money in a post office savings account and stop your whining
I say well played AA ... a £70 million pay day for him and a nice and easy 3 and a bit month 2 VERY LARGE bags cashed up for me and onto the next one :-)
Well, yes he did well, and all things being equal do did I. I was 100% in, and was up to the eyeballs and beyond. However, I wanted to see where this could actually go, and feel a bit cheated...the story had further to go. This is oil though...never been fair.
TSC,
"He gave the company away for nearly zet ZERO.." Except he bags +£70,000,000 personal fortune and go's on to 'aid' in running Viaro Energy / RRE with no doubt an eye watering package. "Accordingly, it is Viaro Energy's intention that executive management will be retained with the exception of the Executive Chairman, who will resign from this position on or around the Effective Date but be retained as a special advisor to the Viaro Energy Board..."
aimo
Let's get the right, right now. He gave the company away for nearly zet ZERO. He falls into the Todd Kozel book of oil execs imo now
AA says he can raise £500m - £600m based on current equity. Hearing that knowing he had already gifted the company away for £250m makes you feel a bit sick.
Yep maverick......
4.sqz comes in with a cheeky 1% bid over the current one
As I see it, 3 ways this could go:
1. Buy out voted through at £18.50
2. Buy out falls through and shares go back down to £11
3. Rival bid comes in higher
Have I missed anything else
A lot of PIs are multi millionaires If they use GS for trading
Here’s an interview that was done 10days after the confidential agreement....my view is that the market/public new something was coming as AA announced it during interview what his 2 options were......every t/o I ve been involved in always seems corrupt because it is .IMHO....this is the world we live in and the rampers will ramp other shares as they have done here on the day of announcement as the market wants the money to stay in the market ..im all out and taking a break, I ve traded for decade and I ve made good money from it.
