Ireland is well supplied for future electricity generation. We can use TheSh**'s outflow of puerile comment as biomass and his rear end generated wind of his stupidity to generate all the electricity we need.
The article does not also mention that Ireland will need far more electricity generation with all the datacentres that are springing up around the country and the last thing they need is unreliable source which are possible given the impact we are having with climate change as wind and sun are not that reliable. They also need thousands of litres of water pumped around them to keep them cool.
Not only that but if we get hotter in summers we are going to need air conditioning. Two weeks ago we were suffering in the 30 degree level so we are probably using fans, mobile air conditioners to get some sleep at night. And that all needs electricity so where is it going to come from? In future, like America and Australia we will probably need built-in air conditioners if climate change is a reality.
Of course, TheSh** is an insomniac as he posts regularly in the middle of the night. Possible causes, bad gut, other medical conditions such as night visits to relieve himself in his favorite seated throne, the jacks so he can keep himself cool by splashing water from between his legs.
The trouble is that the Greens, who want us to live in monasteries and convents and become a new generation of enclosed nuns and monks to live frugally, are for the birds. Announcement this morning that the Chinese have told the rest of the world to "pi** off " as it is going to build further large numbers of coal fired power stations.
So, in the meantime we freeze to death while the Chinese kill us with pollution. As I am sure you remember that child game called "Chinese burn". Well now the Chinese are going to show us how to do it for real rather than just simply doing arm twisting.
So either Barryroe will sell its gas and oil into the Irish economy or it should offer it to the Chinese to buy it instead of building those polluting coal fired power stations using cheap coal that comes, in the main, from places like South America, Africa and its biggest supplier Australia, supplied from a place with a coal connection of "Coals from Newcastle" which is located 100 miles north of Sydney and provided about 20% of China's coal needs until early this year when Australia upset China and it embargoed the coal but you can be sure it will resume sooner or later.
So that article is timely as it might just wake up those idi*ts who haven't a clue, probably live in nice warm houses while thousands of rural people freeze to death during the winter and fry during the summer.
I know know where the institution where they filmed "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" is to be found. It is called Dáil Éireann - The Irish Parliament.
“Even in the face of outages at a number of gas-fired power plants, gas continues to provide an important foundation for electricity generation and back-up to renewable energy when required.”
