talking is one thing but talking or engaging in deeper or transaction discussion is another thing? at least that's how I interpret it
Manu17 i know they are shareholders i was saying they said they were not in talks specifically with them , thats what the rns said
Smoke and mirrors with pog...some things just never change
Shareholder UGC= Yuzhuralzoloto= Uzhuralzoloto

Owner Konstantin Strukov
Forbes article on Strukovs/UGC business history from year 2017
” ...Strukov tried to bring the company to the stock exchange, but the Yuzhuralzolota IPO broke down twice - in 2008 due to the crisis and in 2011. Now, one of the options may be to join with one of the competitors, argues Strukov: “You need to build relationships in any business, position yourself so that you always need someone. Then you are not afraid of any competition.... "

Freddie2 UGC are share holders. does nobody do there own research anymore
Earlier this year, the privately-owned Russian gold miner UGC took a large stake in Petropavlovsk, which owns and operates four mines in Russia’s far east region.
22% they own.
Pavel..direct quote...
“We’re similar in the size, but they are private, and we are looking at each other, I would say.”
No formal talks perhaps .. yet.
It looks laced with wriggle room to me. Why has Pavel not refuted the authenticity of the quote given to the Telegraph?
It says active dialogue with all its shareholders but then says none with UGC
What does active dialogue mean. Why say it?
Contradicts direct quotes from the interview.
Clearly it's been discussed. But no formal agreement ..
If that was the case they could of just said talks were ongoing but early stages
Well, knowing Russian politics, I would assume that they put it forward and now waiting for Putin's approval :)
Sounds to me like they have already come out publicly and said its not true
A few thoughts
1) If Pavel speaks publicly then chances are that deal already happened and now is being finalised.
2) POG price might be dumped recently by Strukov's structures
3) After the merger the new company would become totally transparent and cap maximising. It can quickly reach POLY cap.
