until the pratt calms down on twitter no herd is touching this with a barge pole. he can cuckoo all he likes but it needs buyers and nobody wants to know anymore. how to kill your own investment101
I hear you Gordon. I did read an article earlier this week relating to other Net Zero initiatives, where all the allocated funding (£240m) had simply been sitting unspent and in the end got returned to the Treasury.
In that case it will definitely be beyond my investment horizon. Lol. Joking apart, you'd think there might be more if a sense of urgency.
True Gordon, however if looking at UK government web site (latest status on roadmap), timelines indicate they’re likely to be considerably longer.
In the Q and A, they said FEED would take 9 months from award of licence and commissioning 3 years from then, so c 2026. Atb.
It looks, based upon below article, it took 18 months from application to award for equinor, bop, shell, total consortium . This is for 1st stage license, still “license to operate” will be needed.
So yes Gordon, if these timelines are anything to go by, it will take some time still…

I suppose in the coming years we will find out if they will make it happen this time around.
I suppose Gordon, was just curious to understand if perhaps someone on the chat were invested in Star back in the days that could have some further insight. I guess not.
I think you've already given the answer Espen.
16 years ago, climate change was taken far less seriously than now. Indeed, there had been a huge change in just the last five years. However, obviously Roland was well ahead of the curve. Atb.

Anyone aware why this doesn’t appear to have got off the ground 16 years ago?
