they are set up for 2m week in total. So they can't do that figure solely for the govt unless they put their own production on hold? So I expect govt test numbers will be lower.
It won't come in smaller batches the government will take all 2m a week. For how long? I'll wait for contract details... not long now. By 12 March... latest
let's put a lid on talk of 100's of millions of units a year etc, or 6m tests are week. Don't want too much disappointment when figures are well below that imo. If they can get anywhere near the 2m per week total to include the govt work plus their own tests, then that will be great!! But it might come in smaller batches and not one 'headline' figure!
It’s 2m tests a week with working 37 hour weeks. If we move the 3x 8 hour shifts could we triple that to 6m a week? For example 24/7 operations?I seem to remember all the jobs advertised as day hours so there is scope for evening and night shift capability
We should get the details of the contract we already have been told about- RNS 11th February and tweets from ODX to confirm that they will be supplying 2 million tests a day- by 11th March if not before. Contracts now have to be confirmed within 30 days. The government have just lost a judicial review on the matter. Their excuse was that they weren't really aware that transparency was important. They can't claim ignorance going forward. In the meantime we are due to hear about Mologic's antigen lft evaluation anytime.
Rishi Sunak has just discussed surge testing in Andrew Marr as the way to keep the lid on future outbreaks. The campaign for mass testing will kick off this month. March will be Omega Diagnostics big month for the start of a re-rate. Time to top up if you can, hold if you can't or load up if for some unknown reason you are not in this opportunity of a lifetime yet. GLA.
"I just need clarity on what exactly ODX are doing right now!"
@Velatastic they are making as many RTC antibody tests as possible, I assume shifts are now at 24/7 to meet the massive demand. While that's happening they are expanding the site ( several articles online from the contractor involved) and while that is happening they are doing the TT for Avacta's test while setting up all the loan machines that the government provided and while that is happening they are close to completing the Mologic TT so they can meet the government demand... and lot's more with the food testing etc... so they are not doing too much so don't worry your little head just be patient and see how this develops over the coming weeks.... A no brainer at this stage and were almost there... GLA..
Velatastic We all want some clarity but keep banging on about it doesn’t help.
News is very close and the patient ones who have joined the dots are going to be very well rewarded indeed Aimho
Ps it’s coming that’s for sure gla test test test
velastic , whats your point , no one expects the tests used now to be mologis when they dotn have a test to sell yet.
It all looks now over the next two weeks there is likely to be a ramp up in publicity on LFTs and you can just see Omega shares pushing above 100p .
I'm watching Marr now. All schoolchildren and their families will be sent enough tests for 2-3 times a week. As some of us noted from coverage on Twitter, the Sun already broke the story yesterday. And government guidance has changed to recognise this. Supersonic.
Anyone of the opinion 2 million will be a bottom line number with the government machinery being added and with another 60 body’s on top of the 123 we already have.
We know what colin’s like never over estimates where potential is concerned.
rumour has it the machinery is in and just needs commissioning, Boris will want to shout from the roof tops about our new diagnostic manufacturing capabilities.
Imo rns’s are going to come thick and fast sooner the better just to shut the few detractors up gla.
Also saying school children and their families tested twice a week. Decent volume of tests there!
yes bangbc....this is what I picked up.....its a confirmatory pcr test....just demonstrated...and results sent off.. huge ask on family mentioned...and for some months to disrupt the chain of transmission. But I couldn't read the lable on the test device.
Just reported 2 tests twice a week for school kids....
