Yes, as I said this morning it's in black and white from the Health Secretary plus the Minister for Innovation, via the Gov UK release and tweet. Health Secretary Matt H was quoted in the release saying about ODX:
"Rapid lateral flow tests are essential to help us identify cases of the virus we otherwise wouldn’t find and preventing the virus spreading in our workplaces and communities.
These tests will help keep businesses open, our children return to school, people to visit their loved ones in care homes safely.
British innovation is at the forefront of our response to this pandemic and this partnership with 2 Great British firms will help us to build back better by tapping into the UK’s domestic talent, ingenuity and industry".
and Lord Bethell, Minister for Health, is quoted in the release saying about ODX:
"The UK continues to lead the way in medical diagnostics, and we are working with companies such as Omega and Global Access Diagnostics to build on our expertise in the field. The whole industry has come together to respond to COVID-19 and get us back to the people and things we love, helping us stop the spread of the virus now while strengthening our resilience for the future".
And then his tweet...
"@JimBethell We’re investing in 2m LFDs per week by end May from British firms @OmegaDiagnostic and @mologic to stop the spread of COVID-19. Investment in talent will help "build back better" & create 100s of jobs".
That's more than a very big hint - it's confirmation of what is coming.
Good luck, Brighty
“Omega did deliver 2 million per week in April“
Don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but you need to cut back. Just a few days ago odx said:-
“Omega is currently using its own capacity to produce its own tests and following today's launch, the Company expects, together with the test to be licensed from the UK Government as above, to rapidly move towards full utilisation of its capacity of 2 million test per week.”
Move towards 2M when they start producing the gov test.
If you believe that odx produced 2M a week in April, and just decided not to tell anyone, you are deluding yourself, because even the company is saying they are nowhere near it. I’d be surprised if they are doing more than a few 100k a week covid lft, and most of those are just going to warehouse.
For someone who has no interest or investment in this stock, you seriously do spend an awful lot of work behind the scenes twatch.
More negative conjecture I see
TWatcher
Omega did deliver 2 million per week in April.
Who wrote that garbage for you Twatty?
Its ok green boxes..its still here but losing hands down now.
Well done club members.
...and of course, given that tweet by Lord Bethall was back in mid- March, it's fair to say he'd have expected that a decision on which test/s to select would have long happened by now and ODX would either be knocking out stock, or busy TTing. ODX has very recently told us they have no idea which test the gov will select, and we know that as of end of April, the Mologic test had not made the validation list for PHE. So what chance now end of May (i.e. 3 weeks from today) for the gov 1M a week, never mind ODX getting orders for the other 1M a week capacity.
So old news then, but it is useful to look over old tweets to see who was talking doo-doo.
Lord bethell tweeted 2M by end of May on the 15th of March. Now we know that odx has idle gov only capacity of 1M per week, so that 2M is a total for both companies.
Worth remembering that a month before Lord Bethall's tweet, ODX had categorically stated they'd deliver 2M per week in April.
a day after Lord Bethall's tweet, good old bigjock tweeted "march and April will be two transitional months",
https://twitter.com/bigjock36/status/1371943595712917509?s=21
Which was a follow-up to his tweet some days earlier "SP £2.50 March/April", which came with a lovely picture of the ODX sign holding him up.
https://twitter.com/bigjock36/status/1368210955310686212?s=21
So why was someone with a direct line to the CEO pumping March and April as transitional months and stating SP @£.250 for those months, and indeed the company itself tweeting 2M per week in April, when the minister for health was saying end of May for the Gov 1M ?
Lord Bethnell's tweet from March regarding Omega producing 2m tests per week
https://twitter.com/jimbethell/status/1371506433729126403?s=21
It was posted on Twitter 15/03/21 that’s probably why…

Where has Lord Bethell tweeted that please? Cant find it
Nice one Brighty. From what I have read on the board the current expectation is that the gov chosen test will likely use 1m of the 2m ODX a week capacity. Is the tender for this expected to be part of the 8bn or another tender? What do we see as the source of funds for the remaining 1m a week capacity for ABC or other tests? Govt or elsewhere? and how long do we expect it to take to see orders for this? Personally I want to see confirmed orders for our full capacity asap so ensure full capacity is utilised then they can look at potentially increasing this if demand requires.
