"Like many PI's I am frustrated that the golden news has not yet hit..."
The problem is the gold news is always changing.
Its CE for the antibody test.
Its UK gov order for the antibody test
Its CE for the visitect test
Its MHRA for the antibody test
Its CE for mologic for its tests
Its the launch of a mass vaccination programme
Its unshackling day for the RTC test (15th feb).
All the above, have been and gone, or are now no longer talked about on here.
Currently we have
TT completion for the mogolic test to ODX. that was a christmas present, then most thought Jan, some said it was bleeding obvious that it was Feb. ...still waitng for this golden news.
Announcement that Uk gov has picked a test and hope its mologic
...and if not its announcement that ODX has TT-ed whatever test uk gov say s it wants them to build.
And announcement of an order....ANY sizeable order for anything that ODX can make.
Dear Derampers, Investors can read. Do bear this in mind at all times. The government will be placing contracts for another 280 million lateral flow tests according to Dido Harding who testified to the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee in January. She said they will be spending another £5 billion between now and May on tests of all kinds although leaning predominantly towards new lateral flow tests. I shared the link and key extracts from her testimony at the time. You can find it on the HoC site.
Budget today. Let's see if Dishy Rishy mentions testing.
Fab news on the Elisa antibody test for Screen4. Looking better and better for ODX.
"I want Colin and the team to focus on getting the job done, not pander to PI's/us. Get on and deliver the plan and the value will come.
Those that want riches today and cant wait a few weeks/months are sadly missing the point."
This! 100% this!
"Now that was before it became a Lab service"
ELISA has always been a lab-based service. The placing notice in June indicated that £1.1m of the value raised would be used to expand capacity. what we're seeing now with the Screen4 contract, is the outcome of that. It's excellent news - and shows that those who were writing off the ELISA part of the portfolio were wrong to do so.
asher7 - I actually like varied opinions and don't have an issue if the person/s have valid points of view. I just think the views of TW are twisted to suit an agenda. Which I don't really have time for.
Like many PI's I am frustrated that the golden news has not yet hit..... What is true is that we need confirmation of actual orders and TT. Once they come (and I believe they will) we will be off to the races. What many fail to recognise is the massive strides ODX have made in the last year to get to this point and the great job Colin and the team have done to do that during a pandemic. They should be commended for getting us to this point. Can you imagine the number of meetings and conference call, technical discussions in an environment that is changing rapidly?
Colin has listened to PI's and RNS'd info rather than on Twitter and people are still not happy. Crazy.
I want Colin and the team to focus on getting the job done, not pander to PI's/us. Get on and deliver the plan and the value will come.
Those that want riches today and cant wait a few weeks/months are sadly missing the point.
At last a factual post worth reading. Good to see even the mindless rampers on Twitter have gone silent and are beginning to question the CEOs motives for the bull**** company tweets. Those director sells speak volumes. What the company says and what it actually does isn’t adding up. Will odx produce and sell? Probably but I’m convinced we are being hoodwinked in relation to timelines. Imho 3 months till any real news is conservative , the CEOs antics very much reminds me of ADL many years ago.
Agreed.. not massive capacity... not even huge capacity.. I'd go as far as to suggest we probably did it for free... maybe we even paid them to use our test (doubt it)... that's not the point.
The test was used as a benchmark.. That shows me the test is bloody good.
It's a home service MHRA approved Antibody test, competitively priced by Screen4, and I'm sure Omega will be seeing good price/margin on these.
As I say, a nice surprise about the agreement and nice to see Screen4 actively promoting it.
I think may even surprise more in time to come when we see figures.
from that link:-
"Forty-five participants with RT-qPCR-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections admitted to National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in the UK, were recruited through the ISARIC4C study."
not quite at capacity then.
Gregg best filter him, he’s been at it for months his narrative slant doesn’t wash with many at all and he’s just playing with a small amount of pi’s heads to gain his 1%.
Colin is building a diagnostic monster for generations to come, Odx will be huge and I’m so glad I’m here at the start of a company who are going to be pivotal for us getting out of this COVID s@&t.
Test test test Test test, diagnostics industry in the uk Is here to stay that’s a factttt
https://wellcomeopenresearch.org/articles/6-18/v1
All samples were screened by ELISA for the detection of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG (Omega Diagnostics, Alva, UK), as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Now let me help you TW4t face.... Innova have been dropped like a hot potato cos they are pants. Guess who is taking their place? Amongst others Omega.... Fact.... Deal with it!
With regard to the Screen4 agreement... and Omega ELISA capacity...
In June, as part of the placing, we were told there were plans to expand ELISA testing to 1m tests per week.
Now that was before it became a Lab service, which I imagine is now the limit on capacity now, but we could easily be above 46k per week.
It's the 'first' supplier agreement.
We've already seen the test was used in validating LFTs too, so who knows where else it's being used.
This one for me was a nice surprise.
As with all these things, it seems... time will tell how popular the test is.
Does it matter much how many staff screen4 have. They neither manufacture the tests. Or carry out lab reviews. It's how many they sell that counts. They have both government approval as a covid test supplier and international reach
"The facts are we have been nominated as a supplier of Covid tests by a Govt pledging literally Billions in the middle of a pandemic that the world is desperate to get under control. Omega are front and centre in the fight against Covid, and idiots like you choose to post nonsense to do them down when you have no interest. How's that for some facts for tatters ?
Not all that great to be honest, let me help you out.
ODX isn't front and centre, it's playing catch up. Innova, a us registered business has supplied multiple £1B of tests to uk gov. Surescreen, a uk company is actually supplying to UK gov, and has a contract for £500M. ODX has been selected by UK gov to provide manufacturing capacity, but has no announced contract to actually produce anything. UK gov has loaned ODX equipment, ODX has said via twitter that it will be 'delivering' 2M tests a week by end of April, but of note, it has made no such statement to the UK stock market, a rather curious position to say the least ('oh, sorry that twitter was a bit eager' is an easy get out clause).
ODX does not have ANY antigen LFT that it can manufacture, is waiting for the uk gov to tell it which test to make, and unless it happens to be a test it is currently working on figuring out how to manufacture (into the 13th week of a 4-6 week TT 1), it could be the start of June before they can supply 1 test to UK gov.
Oh, ODX has no announced orders whatsoever for ANY LFT devices, including the two antibody tests it actually can produce.
Now, that's factual.
"When you cant't argue the facts, call people names. Really really weird that people dont like the facts."
Literally LOL...someone get me a bedpan!!!!
Greggs, I respect your opinion.
I thought we were waiting for a RNS re the government deal.
We don’t even know who’s test we are making and how much profit we will make.
TW - The flowery field has been beautiful to see grow from a seedling last year. Not yet in bloom, but we can see the bud and colour of the leaves. Just needs some sunny days to open up and show its beauty.
So far up 40p since I bought in, a year ago. Not too shabby eh...that so called flowery field looks pretty good to me.
Expecting this to motor on through the £1/£2 level within the next few weeks/months...surely by May/June time.
Its great to own a share of a manufacturer that can produce whatever it wants and with whoever it wants. That reduces risk and opens up lots of opportunity.
I find it very hard to see much downside risk, however I can see lots of reasons to believe the share price will be higher in the short to medium term.
Hani1,
watch out, you'll get the usual replies from the usual suspects that its a ticking bomb, coiled spring, wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend etc. Those have been the default responses for many many months.
the truth is the SP has traded around this level for several months, dropped a bit lower for while, been a bit higher. And all during that it's been proported as being "ready to take off". So come into this thread with a large serving of salt.
The facts are we have been nominated as a supplier of Covid tests by a Govt pledging literally Billions in the middle of a pandemic that the world is desperate to get under control. Omega are front and centre in the fight against Covid, and idiots like you choose to post nonsense to do them down when you have no interest. How's that for some facts for tatters TW4t face?
Morning Guys
When in your own opinion we can see the SP start ticking up, as i thought beginning of this week sp should be over £1, also with all theses positive testing news and odx twitters SP still hovering around 80’s - 90’s
When you cant't argue the facts, call people names.
Really really weird that people dont like the facts
I prefer a flowery field of due diligence rather than the swamp of optimism.
Easy, this thread relates to the capacity contract signed by ODX with screen4 for lab based tested, which has nothing to do with LFT production.
try and keep up lad.
Twatcher do one off the board your not invested stop trying to deramp you scumbag
