Paddy funds have to trim holdings when they Are buying and selling for clients. Whilst one went form 8% to 6% this week, We had a new fund (Tameside pensions) buy 3% the week before. Swings and roundabouts.
I'm not overly concerned as it is kind of drifting a long with the markets and a number of other shares. Good new tonight was the medical guy at the news conference saying that no need for a circuit breaker lockdown .... So for now it seems might be some better news plus looking like tests at airports coming... I too will top up but the run up to 170 so quickly was nice but unexpected for me. Nothing has changed timewise.
IanB. I don't think i'm wilting as such. Very frustrated though yes. I got in here at similar time as yourself & weathered the lows. Thought we'd seen the end with the spike over 170. I expected a fallback & consolidation from that & wasn't unduly bothered. The Sept update was, while welcome and positive, too non specific. We need some numbers here really. Institution dropping 2% of their holding isn't good either. If the SP falls below the 140 i think we'll see another drop like we did before & i'll be holding a few grand in reserve (sold my Barclays shares today in readiness)
We had interims in August ???? and a trading update in sept which was far better than expected. That update started the rise to 170..Shares dont go up in straight lines..
i suspect you mean q3 update, I think we will get this but not sure on what date. I hope this week but no sweat if not..
Downward spiral? Thats Nonsense and mocks of frustration - Markets are designed to frustrate and take PI,S money - the price will go up and the price will go down. And pi,s wilt When it goes down.
The Business is in very good shape , making net cash according to sept update and winning Lots of new work.. they have huge liquidity And can take any opps to buy out competitors - dont judge the business by the sp. Institutions buying big At £2.30p as they see the bigger picture..
My outlook is if it should drop cheap buy more. Ultimately its going up post covid.
Without any interims, this share is going on a downward spiral. wish i'd flogged @170 now!
