Hey dont panic....... What do you think of this fast recovery..... ?
Dontpanick, you could of course be right, but fwiw I don't think Bonkers and Hydrogen are one and the same .
Get over yourself hydro. Bonkers, or whatever you're calling yourself on your next reincarnation.
Can everybody calm down a bit. The sp is Cr*p and we're all a bit p'd off with it, some more than others, but there's no need to come to blows on here about it. I don't think anyone on here is anything other than what they purport to be. I think we're all genuinely in MTR for the right reasons and squabbling amongst ourselves serves no useful purpose. I'm as disappointed in the SP as anybody but if I've made a poor decision it's my fault-nobody else's.
Once upon a time I use to trade penny stocks, but then I realised it’s a mugs game and a buy-and-hold strategy usually plays out far better in the long term. If I'd bought and held my holdings in GGP and Eurasia Mining I could have bought a yacht or two by now, but you don't see me complaining about it. Ifs and buts and all that! Best advice I can give anyone is if you like a stock buy and hold, if its sells off buy more. If you have serious concerns about how this investment company is run ask informed questions rather than complaining about the share price performance of a low volume penny stock during a time of wider hawkish market sentiment. You just end up looking a little bit foolish. No argument however that we would all like to see a true reflection of what we believe MTR to be worth, however as discussed over and over on this board we are beholden on various other variables outside of the managements control vis-à-vis investments that they have made.
Embarrassing.
You get called out for blatant lying so go trawling for grammatical changes. If you don’t have faith in the BoD and what they are doing then you shouldn’t be invested.
The price is poor, I don’t see anyone on here pretending otherwise. It’s a hell of an opportunity for people to get in at discount to NAV. The NAV of which the NSR isn’t remotely priced in. Ask yourself why SFR are underreporting their Botswana exploration… who is that beneficial to..
Fair enough, you looked it up for me.
So, with all the fantastic potential here, which we've had, and even bolstered with more potential along the way, why is the sp as on it's arse now as it has been since about 2016.
When, if ever, is mtr finally going to perform for its investors, because so far we have had nothing but slightly warm air with a whiff to it.
Although they did downgrade investor expectations by changing their company mission statement from this :-
'The Company’s target is to deliver a very high return for shareholders'
To this :-
'The Company's target is to deliver a high return for shareholders'
Which also reflects what the board think about their own ability to deliver.
In short, thus far, disappointing and frustrating.
Just blatant lying now. It’s very easy to find the correct numbers.
“Share Consolidation”
Following the approval of Resolution 4 at the AGM, the Company is proceeding with the 1 for 10 Share Consolidation with a record date of 5:00pm today. The 1,522,076,607 Existing Ordinary Shares of 0.01 pence each in issue in the capital of the Company, together with the 3 additional Ordinary Shares to be issued on 30 June 2020 to ensure the Company's issued ordinary share capital is divisible by 10, will be consolidated into 152,207,661 New Ordinary Shares of 0.1 pence each. Such New Ordinary Shares will have the same rights and be subject to the same restrictions (save as to par value) as the Existing Ordinary Shares.
Credibility = zero
Keep talking **** and trading up and down.
100m after consolidation, 169m now.
69% dilution. Nothing to do with the ASX.
The bod have increased the value of the company without the sp correlation.
The truth is there to see.
Not sure what's freaking you out hydro.
I've been here since pretty much the start, I'll probably still be here when one of your other personas is posting in the future.
Maybe because I've actually got some skin in this and I'd like to see something back from it eventually.
But it sure is a long old drag at the rate it's going.
Thank you Hydrogen for correcting these nitwits!
However, given we are now trading at a discount to our assets how long before we see some positive movement in the SP; at the moment it does not seem to make any sense. I am a LTH with a substantial holding so interested in constructive debate.
? That's twisting facts and an insinuating comment. A dishonest comment while helping no one who's genuinely interested in discussing the stock. If I make a substantial investment in a stock I'll do my best to research and monitor that investment.
So you trade MTR. Got it. No doubt you post negative or positive depending on your position.
That’s not bringing your average down IMV, bringing your average down is buying on dips and adding to your position. By your definition if I trade another company and make a profit and buy more MTR it’s bring my average down.. nope. Selling part of your original position to buy back lower I can accept as reducing your average, but trading it up and down, not for me. Explains your erratic posting tho.
ATB in your strategy, that is sincere.
So, very close to the bod then DR.
As suspected.
You get your average down by buying dips and selling them when the price goes up, whilst keeping a 'core holding' that you may have bought at a higher price.
If you have an average of 58p, it means that you were unlucky when you bought your shares at 5.8p before the consolidation and haven't bought any more at a lower price.
You should also rely on actual RNS's for your info cos' people on this board do like to pass off old info as new or recent, or pretend something hasn't happened just cos it was a couple of years ago.
I've been here a long, long time taylot.
Thanks Taylot. Just for the record, I'm not in or even close to the BOD. I've been invested in MTR for 6 years, have attended many meetings, often queried + challenged the BOD via emails and telephone, studied the main projects as best I could, discussed Bots with Terry Grammer ,Julian Hanna and Wes Hall way back when and have a good idea of how investing on AIM works.
The board have stuck it out and stuck together, after taking on a shaky business, still wrestling with how to best operate an unusual company that is in many ways out of place on AIM. It's a hybrid investment/collaborative explorer with much of its funding coming from the trading arm.
Markets are rough just now, MTR hasn't released any catalytic news as yet, but I'm aware the world of exploration doesn't wake up in January. February is usually better. Happy to discuss facts but don't wish to be stereotyped. One fact I agree with is that the share price is way too low just now.
I don’t see H or DR posting total ****e - just facts - unlike some of the others on here. I’d fascinated to know how you’ve got your average DOWN to 19p.. what was your first buy in.. or how someone has an average of 58p..
The share price is disappointing, it has been for a while. But investing is and always will be looking past price. Traders will come and go, making it losing their 20% and then talking nonsense on bulletin boards. Investors buy and hold and research and network and ultimately make those life changing returns. ATB.
Completely agree with you ziquarat, your comment seconded.
Even though I've got my average down to about 19p now, it's taken a long time and been very frustrating.
I'm not sure why hydrogen is pretending there hasn't been any placings when he /she knows full well that there is 60%more shares in issue now than when we consolidated, i can only guess that DR and hydro are in or very close to the bod given their ongoing comments.
Not such a quiet accumulation when you post it on a BB chestec.
Good timing Chestec. Markets having a rough start to the year but the maths will prevail. Wish I had the means to claw Bots exploration updates from dear Karl, but he's holding on as tight as can be. The combined FS for T3+A4 will one day show just how value is underpinned by the NSR. Then on top of that add KML progress. Gabon exploration, latest investments etc to the pot. Should cook nicely with yet more Patience and Endurance. The tide will turn. I may recommend one of the next drill targets be called Patience.
I just bought another 26,674 shares @18.70p. My 2nd purchase of the week. Quietly accumulating…
FairPlay, then, if thats what i said, then thats what i must have bought in at years ago.
The point is, even after consolidation, when i said i thought that this showed more shares would be issued in the future and that i suspected a price drop of 10 - 15 %, i was ridiculed because the company was, Moore cashed up than any company on aim.....
And guess what... we are 20% down and have issued shares....
What im saying is, this company is not behaving as i would expect and people are batting the company line, begging them up, look at this, look at that, ..etc etc...and all i see, have seen, for the last 19 months, is a mostly steady sp drop...
I just expected more.
I want to at least be even , i want a profit, but to be even would be exceptional from here.
Let’s just Hold for the Cobre drill report, plus 1 of the Additional Sandfire mines are coming online.
Price could bounce 20 percent any day on good news.
I agree.... you stated 58p...not me. Those are your poor calculations. Point is, im still almost 60% down, since consolidation and it doesnt seem that this is going to recover fast at all......
I want it too....
But it seems a forlorn hope at this stage.
My erse!
