LOL
Sorry I didn't answer sooner but I been reading your posts for long enough to recognise your twisted sense of humour Dick.
As for whether JOG is a good long term buy or not, I mentioned in a previous post, At these prices it would be rude not to.

Attention seeker.
In fairness to the Thunbergs, they didn't feel unwell until after they had returned from their trip, so they must have caught it outside Sweden and couldn't have known they should cut short their trip and return.
I am amazed, however, that she spent so much time in the interview talking about how sure she is that she and her father have CV even though they haven't been tested.
Shouldn't the authorities be testing people who have possible symptoms after returning from foreign travel?
You're welcome to use one of mine, Wuckfit. It won't be difficult isolating yourself from me, as I haven't been able to wash properly for the last 3 weeks, apart from my hands 5 times a day (I use a standpipe outside the local food bank; it's a 5 mile bike ride - nothing to fitness icon like me). It's a bit awkward taking one's top off (exposing one's six pack and pectorals ) and trousers down (the same) in front of so many people, however. I'm sure you'll understand.
Let me know if you want to take up the offer and I'll empty the bog rolls and Calpol out of the other shed (with a roof).
Changing the subject, I wonder how many other people they infected, travelling around Europe (no doubt paid for by someone else) whilst more considerate and intelligent types were behaving responsibly: https://www.newscientist.com/article/2238364-greta-thunberg-says-she-may-have-had-covid-19-and-has-self-isolated/
A health spokesperson commented: "It took the contagious to recognise she'd probably get it and pass it on to hundreds, if not thousands of others, whilst she was gallivanting around Europe causing trouble"

You're right, LW. And 3 of my sheds don't have a roof.
They're ok in the summer if you don't mind guano.
Have you got a khazi in your 5 bed shed? That would really make me jealous 'cos I'm fed up with all the brambles in the woods............bloody nightmare...........
There's no need to boast, DU, especially at a time like this, when some people are losing their shirts (or possibly even sheds).
But I'll bet you don't have a five-bedroom shed.
I wish I could afford a shed, need things to start heading north over the coming weeks.
I've got 5 sheds...............
'There's nothing wrong with living in a shed btw. Who needs a 5 bedroom house?'
Precisely!
Take me, for example: I live in a five-bedroom shed.
Dickupham - I love it. I know exactly what you mean. I'm just the same but instead of a dog it's two cats. I like dogs too. Just had cats all my life since I was a kid 60 yrs ago now.
One day I'll never be rich so long as this Covid - 19 don't get me. Out on the bike soon for some exercise. Now that does make me feel good. Then back to watching my shares fall : )
Hey, Alibro.........I wasn't being serious. If I'd bet anything meaningful it would have ended in tears. The price was bound to go up after I'd sold - that was a given. If I'd held on, the price would have gone down.
No.......... 'long term' remains my motto.
I've worked out that the result of my long term investing activity is much the same as Warren Buffet's. His motto is: "the best time to sell a stock is never ". QED he never gets to spend any money from his stocks. He has a very frugal lifestyle, eg: he bought a five-bedroom house in Omaha in 1958 for $31,500 and has lived there ever since. He's estimated to be worth $84bn (maybe a bit less in current circumstances).
I have an even more frugal lifestyle. I never get to spend any money from my stocks either. I'm not worth $84bn though.
There's a reason for this. He picks stocks that go up and I pick ones that go down.
The result is the same.
My dog likes me - that's the main thing. And as long as I can put a roof over his head, I'm happy. There's nothing wrong with living in a shed btw. Who needs a 5 bedroom house?

FINALLY Dick has seen sense. Good on you Dicky my boy and remember.
THEY DON'T LIKE IT UP EM!!!
.....just fyi, I closed out my small "short-term oil recoveries" portfolio yesterday morning (made £882 net of costs on £2,800 "invested" last Thurs). Yippee - more than a month's OAP. I probably jumped too early but there's no such thing as a bad profit - least of all 31% in 3 or 4 days.
I'm now switching to day trading. Sod the longer term game. It's no fun.
