" It's almost as if Hurricane is 'daring' someone to come and start a bidding war."
A bit like Amerisur did, you mean then?
AK people were expecting every well to be 10k plus with world class PI’s. It’s never going to be the case and people need to rebase their expectations. In my opinion WW and LC are both successful wells, LC in particular despite the lower PI (20) it’s still a damned good well by many standards. I was in a session last week (data room type of thing) and most of the wells being discussed were of a lower standard than LC and WW.
I also disagree with suggestions elsewhere that Spirit are not interested in developing the GWA. I think they’d love an oil play over gas given the latters’ low commodity price.
Clearly they're not going to permanently cut off the means to make a great deal of money! I have no doubt whatsoever there is and has been a great deal of discussion taking place behind the scenes on this point from all angles.
Wellwell,
A quote from your last post:
" Let’s just hope DrT knows what he’s doing."
If that ain't one of the most supercilious things I've read for a long time, I don't know what is. Personally I feel pretty sure that Dr T knows what he's doing, the difficult thing is waiting 'til the CMD and for him to tell us exactly what it is!
I am still angered by the Transocean / EnergyVoice 'leak' about the upcoming rig utilisation plan, but the fact that Hurricane hasn't released an RNS instantly refuting any of it speaks volumes, in my opinion. So instead of being angry, which serves no purpose and often leads to health disorders, I've instead started to giggle a bit. Because there's certainly a funny side to the story.
If Hurricane go ahead and P&A Lincoln, it's almost certainly due to some real arcane licensing reasons which I hope will be explained at greater length sometime, maybe at the CMD. But really, you've got to laugh. P&A a 9000 bbl /day well? It's a bit like taking an Aston Martin for a test drive and then running it through a baling machine: you don't want it because it's not 'new' any more! Plenty more where that one came from... It's almost as if Hurricane is 'daring' someone to come and start a bidding war.
