With respect to esk & dalt, I share their BoD angst, but they are wrong. I am glad we got a dozen thanks yous in before this doomster talk. The BoD are not so stupid as to interpret a few thank yous as meaning all is forgiven & forgotten. Neither is any SH. Can you imagine me ever forgiving or forgetting? I want to win the SP war. Saying the BoD should do this or that anyway changes nothing.
A few thank yous is a gentle diplomatic message that listening/transparency is noted/appreciated. How that message going forward is another matter. We asked, the BoD listened, we said thank you. It's not complicated.
I'd appreciate not being accused of posting for need of wanting 15 seconds of fame & adoration. Anyone thinking I put in hard shifts when needed for that reason needs a rethink. The forum is supposed to be a 'team' intent on the same goal. Whereas I don't always get it right, I try my level best. I always have in mind those deep underwater at +40p and my ideal would be to see us return to as near as that if possible, one way or t'other.
Inclined to agree. There are some here who want their 15 seconds of fame and adoration.
They should be doing this most basic stuff and pandering to them only affirms how weak the shareholders are and will lead them to take further advantage of us. The original letter requesting updates was sufficient. The next is just overkill.
Exactly Daltry. What we asked for is what any good bod would be doing organically anyway. If they can't understand that and just do it, for shareholder new and old attention and to encourage investment and growth then they shouldn't be in their positions let alone being thanked for doing what they're paid to do.
Eskibeatbeater - Very good point...They are not absolved.....
Would you let them take your daughter out on a long exit from school? No.....
I sent the first letter asking for updates but I think it's too soon and too weak handed to do this now. This board needs to be treated in a stern way. One decent and correct thing doesn't cover the year or two of disregard and neglect.
Please count me in, I have sent mine too.

Excellent thoughts, may concern is how that fits in with CA’s timeline and exit. The BOD have not contracted a drill rig yet for P8, their must be more in the mix and discussions than we are aware of. I do think you are on the right track, we must drill to secure value and a future.
well done fellas - a dozen so far, but of course the more the merrier & better
mister.e cites well the emotional conundrum & decides correctly. a thank you costs nothing & shows understanding of others' feelings. it's also about adhering to & displaying one's own standards. small actions can have big consequences.
so a few more emails to show our Chair we're not peasants, and let's hope it's a Happy Monday
... mines sent now as well.
I have to be honest at first i found myself to be doing so begrudgingly (LOL) but then thought credit where its due and there was a certain element of joy in my email to them. It takes a brave person (BoD) to reflect on a course of action, recognise its implications and be humble enough to change said direction.
I hope our actions inspire the BoD to greater heights.

Afternoon all,
Just send mine (with a slight variation)...

Great work Sense. Thank you.
Also , sometime ago on a different matter I spoke to a close friend who was a senior tax barrister. He informed me that on any corporate transaction regarding tax both parties would require clearence from HMRC prior to formal agreement. I am sure that if such negotiations were taking place the delay to an announcement post bond clearence may have been waiting for formal HMRC confirmation of how much of the Tax losses would be attributable and any restrictions/terms to enable fair value to be calculated.
Yes likewise thankyou Senseman. Just mulling things over.... In terms of asset value. HUR has P6 and the tax credits. Acerage I would argue is an addition. (albeit valuable ). I cannot see with circa $90m HUR will be able, by end of September, if that is the BOD's unofficial timeline , that HUR be able to achieve an attractive and accretive tie in with another producer. The economics just don,t add up. To produce say 8k BOPD net for 5 years , from a JV would require many multiples of $90m! I think the only JV/buyout of a third party would be an explorer but this doesn,t help immediate income generation to alleviate reliance on a single well and with P8 having a relatively high COS why pay out and split when you have something on your doorstep. Another small producer I am sure would have their own tax losses or would take many years to benefit from HUR's huge allowance so value would be much less than a larger entity. The only two options I can see is either to go for p8 or sell to a mid tier. I just cannot see a like for like merger or tie in either with another modest producer or an explorer.
Senseman.
Message sent , and equally important, thank you to for keeping me sane , with your words in this mad forum !
It’s certainly a test on the emotions ,being part of it !
count me in please. message sent
Senseman A big thank you to you and your continued support, three thank you message for three investors forwarded already Cheers Dunk
On basis that manners maketh man, and if one says thank you when someone listens then one may always ask again, I have sent the below email to Philip Wolfe. It would be helpful if perhaps half a dozen others sent similar email or variation thereof. For obvious reasons. It matters less what particular interval the Board have now decided on (eg, monthly, or after each offload) - rather that they have listened. To email addresses:-

"Dear Mr Wolfe
The 11th August 2022 Operational and Financial update was very much appreciated by shareholders.
Please thank the Board of Directors for its perspicacity in taking shareholders views into account, and amending it’s earlier decision to issue only quarterly updates.
Yours sincerely
