Generally would say that it is the arbitration, itself that is being mentioned not any talks that might have gone on in the background.
Not beyond the realms of possibility to suggest Zaza and co have had the nod from the politicians to not worry about the court cases as they have had it explained to them that FRr are hamstrung by Georgia’s initiation of arbitration, meaning no financing deals can be concluded. Just a thought
That sentence obviously means that we haven't almost come to an agreement outside of the arbitration, as Zaza seemed to indicate.
The sentence below, is from one of the letters.
“The fact that arbitration proceedings are pending at an international court gives hope that the decision will be objective,” he says, noting that “it is hard to discuss what impact it can have on bilateral relations between Georgia and the US before the court’s verdict is announced.”
So would not think any decision has been made.
Hi TSBS,
If you look at original Dec13 th letter and some of twitter exchanges then you will see it is a much bigger geo political issue basically the old Georgia Dream( pro Russian) vs Opposition who want closer links to West and both sides are using egs like FRR to gain political advantage.
Personally. I think we are caught up in all the “ noise” as a consequence rather than the cause but not one can be sure.
The close historic links and clout that FRR have with the US is helping both sides but we still can’t guess how this will play out as FRR could be part of a major resolution or as part of an overall compromise.
The arbitration is just another part of the process but as it is considered more independent then will Geirgua simply let it run its course which I assume is their preferred option but if course the outcome is nit ore determined and the timeline may not suit.
What is telling imo is the lack of mention in the court cases from the US side as they must be aware of what us going in.
Olsen is local Congressman for Houston so must be aware of the risks of associating with a Company sailing close to the wind
Decision on the arbitration would have thought would not come out for at least few weeks, if not a couple of months, as I don't think that they rush into any decisions that are made.
Are there other companies going through the arbitration process that you know of with the GG Tsbs?
With all these letters has the arbitration gone against us or are they in the middle of out arbitration court settlement??
I really see all being positive with this high level backing from USA, but I've no clue where we are in the arbitration, if it's settled or its gone wrong.
I need someone to explain the likely outcome
Again many thanks to Looed for posting lately.
This has been referred to but nit sure if has been published here.
