Bulgaria?
Let’s hope normal ops resume tomorrow, perhaps our crew are delayed on type rating , who knows, it’s all a guessing game re TZ, hope training went well in Bulgaria
Indeed a new week but more of the same I’m afraid, this time it’s FJH that has not flown since second Mwanza service of yesterday.
Keep it coming, Fj! A new week starting.....
Even better news JRO is operating even if it’s 10Hrs late.
Brilliant, FJI is operational!
Sorry omitted to add MBEYA to today’s list
Looking like only 3 x return Mwanza trips — Tomorrow should see the return of the second daily JRO service — On a positive note TZ FLIGHTS are chocca well into the new year —- Let’s hope FJI IS AIRBORNE tomorrow
FJI is tech and awaiting a part.
Pj Your assumption is correct, the carnage and shambolic performance continues, customer comments quite rightly are toxic , as are our operations.
I can only assume we have a shortage of type trained pilots and are having to give time off to be able to maintain Xmas schedule. We must however not keep changing schedule, cancelling flights, and leaving some people stranded by remaining flights being full and some not flying. Passengers can have long memories and spread stories of Un-reliability among friends, relatives and social media causing us damage. We desperately now need a news update before Xmas / year end.
Only one aircraft operating , 1 x JRO 2 x Mwanza 1 x Mbeya 1 x LUN/HRE
Aircraft in Zimbabwe for the HRE - JNB route as it seems that quite often all 4 flights are sold out on the return Leg.
Also only 1st flights out and Back to Mwanza only left available. so other 2 each way sold out too unless we are short one Aircraft tomorrow ?
Both Flights and in both directions
Shhhhhhhhhhhh What’s this then?
L O L !!!
You ARE kidding?? Where did you hear that from? Let me know it's location and Opening Day!
I’m hearing it’s going to be a cafe or restaurant ( the mind boggles)
Wow! What amazing pictures. Of course, it IS sad to see our faithful old aircraft, wingless and helpless, like a Gulliverian giant, on its way to who-knows-what-fate. But does it really have to make the whole journey via small villages? Aren't there enough major highways in that part of France for a more sedate final journey?
Marksman check out the two pictures, nothing Fastjet about it, very sad, but I’m astonished to see FJD trawling through this village.
Thanks for that snippet, Fjetcrazy. Nice to see a bit of good news creeping in at this festive season.
fastjet has launched additional Festive Flights between Harare and Victoria Falls. Due to popular demand fastjet has added additional flights between Harare and Victoria Falls this Festive Season. Additional flights are now available on: 19, 20, 26, 27 December.
Fastjet (FN, Dar-es-Salaam) has formally concluded Airbus operations following the withdrawal from service of its last remaining A319-100, 5H-FJD (msn 2268). Skyliner Aviation reports the twinjet was ferried to Kemble for part-out/scrap on December 8. As it stands, the Tanzanian low-fare airline's fleet consists entirely of Embraer equipment with its new fleet of two EMB-190s. Its Fastjet Zimbabwe (FN, Harare Int'l) affiliate operates one ERJ-145. Both the Zimbabwean unit and Fastjet Mozambique (Maputo) wet-lease one additional ERJ-145 each from partner and equity investor Solenta Aviation (SET, Lanseria). The decision to shift to a smaller fleet is part of a stabilisation plan developed earlier this year in which the carrier's leadership concluded that capacity requirements required an alternative aircraft type, with materially lower operating costs, which would be more appropriate for Fastjet’s markets. As such, Fastjet said in a 2H17 financial filing the use of 50-seater ERJ-145s and 104-seater EMB-190s is expected to yield an approximate 15% cost reduction for fuel, maintenance, handling and navigation charges.
