I wouldn't necessarily agree with that M00la...
Covid cases are not all equal with regards to how likely they are to lead to hospitalisation. The vast majoroity of people will be asymptomatic or feel very mildly unwell, the cases that lead to deaths (which would end up in hospital) are more likely to be the ones that overwhelm a medical system.
It's not good news that cases increase anywhere but it's only in places in US not hit before and as the BBC article pointed out today 80 percent of people are asymptomatic.
Cases are now staying low and excess deaths are turning to below average in UK, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Ny and Nj despite these countries having mostly re-opened for last 3-6 weeks and including mass protests where people were crammed next to each other screaming and chanting, presumably this did not effect these countries due to acquired immunity or some people not being suscepible to it. In a years time I don't believe it will be some conspiracy theory to say we can look back and say it's only about 1.5 times as bad as flu...
HL nt to sell, this good or bad or what. Not that I intend to at this level, just a bit bored
I'm fully invested so of course I want the economy to come roaring back, I want to make money but not at the expense of the vulnerable. There is a smart way to do it and a dumb way and ignoring infection rates over death rates is about the stupidest thing i've ever heard.
Cases increasing isn't good news. It means that even if we are treating it better hospitals could get overwhelmed and then more deaths result due to a lack resources. Common sense.
I want things to get back to normal as much as the next guy but opening up too quickly too soon is what caused this second spike, some might be due to increased testing but the rest is due to lifting lockdown when the virus wasn't properly under control. If Trump did that again then it would be a disaster for the US economy and set everyones hard work back again.
Unfortunately no one has been successfully bailed out until the virus has been eradicated or significantly suppressed thats why economists are saying that more stimulus will be needed. When science is based on facts why does Trump have a war on science unless he also has a war on facts?
Fact) Wearing masks helps reduce the spread of Covid-19
Fact) Keeping a safe distance from people helps reduce the spread of Covid-19
Fact) Washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds helps reduce the spread of Covid-19
I could go on but you get the point, we don't hear the President talk about any of these things or pass executive orders to make them mandatory. Instead he lies about having won some war that is still ongoing, tells people that it's not so dangerous when it is and when those young people who are asymptomatic pass it on to elderly or sick relatives or those with underlying conditions that may not have even been identified yet he does nothing and tries to distract people by talking about statues. My point being that Trump could be accused of dereliction of duty when it comes to Covid-19.
I thought Trump has deferred powers of reopening to state governors. That's why each state is taking a different approach to lockdown. If there actually was some leadership from the top and the virus was handled on a national scale then there may have not been a second spike.
science.
Lol so its Mr Trump who holds the future of Cine in his hands, seen some crazy posts but that tops it.
