@Hosai Haha I wish. Best chance is end of the month.
I feel bullish now...90p on opening, £1.10 by end of week.
Well that lasted for about an hour lol.
A little off-topic but following on from Max's point (5) this article all be it a few months old, summarises so well how resilient cinema is and why it is such a unique experience that simply cannot be replicated at home. I really believe this too and it is one of the reasons I got so involved in this share (perhaps too much given the current Cineworld SP!).
Of course there is no guarantee of any company kicking-on after a global pandemic but I still believe in Cineworld very much. Worth a read, and some interesting references to the 1918 Spanish Flu and film. Worth a quick browse guys - have a good evening!

*saying ..... Bloody phone, bloody autofill... blah
There's a standard sir about Dartmoor and seeing all 4 seasons in one day. This share is Dartmoor. Sometimes desolate, wet, raining, freezing cold and generally unpleasant. Others days bright sunshine.
Last few days have been winter, tomorrow maybe be spring.
Total ****** but I like the analogy
Wing, I'm going to say hopfully back to 60p tomorrow based on my bullish thesis although could quite easily go a penny or two lower. On a daily basis i don't think we'll see too much movement either way without the help of some news dropping. We are better at looking at movements on a weekly basis where we'll start to see the results of social distancing in the US.
Stop it bolox, you’re turning me on XD
The game is up. Now everyone knows how much Cinemas mean to the Studios and vice versa, gosh now everybody will want this share.
Just to add Maxreinier's post, there is no way streaming can make up the income that is generated via the box-office as Universal Pictures have found out from Trolls World Tour. They have suffered a big loss even though it was at number 1 on several different streaming sites. The fact is even if it costs $20 to stream it, there could be several people watching it together as opposed to cinema where each person has to buy a ticket. According to several sources Trolls World Tour will end up making upto a $30-40M loss for the studio as it has only made around $95M from streaming as well as Universal Picture being banned from releasing any more movies through AMC theatres as punishment.
Another thing to consider is if people can get away with watching it for free then they will. If movies are put straight onto streaming sites then it will be that much quicker before the same movie ends up on an illegal streaming site. Bottom line is the movie studios need these cinemas otherwise they would not be able to make a profit on a $200M blockbuster
Well said. Applauding you.
And at last a few posts about Cine.
I can't remember what it is called, where someone asks a question, only to answer it themself over & over again, oh yes thats it mental.
Anyone braving predictions for tomorrow? Haha
Great post Max...especially point 5, imagine watching tenet or the new Bond at home, just seems wrong and depressing. Leaving aside even all the technical benefits of cinema I feel it will always exist simply because people enjoy going to see it as part of a group amongst other people just as they do with other entertainment.
I also don't think think it's outside the realm of possibility for the streaming giants to look to put in bids for cinema chains in the future, seeing as netflix considered buying regal last year.
The Cineworld share (price) has been bottoming out at around the 57- 65p share price range for nearly two weeks now. It will not be going any lower at all any more. All the (fake) negative news that has been thrown at it to get it's share price down for the short traders and cheapo buyers has been used up! The sneaky shorts will get burnt soon and in a very big way. Once the institutional investors start piling in end of july around 70 - 90p this baby will skyrocket way beyond 100p.
All this share is doing at the moment is standing on the launch platform waiting for the launch of its share price that will rocket to way above 1 pound (my sp prediction (august/september is at least 150p +) It's like the launch of Elon Musk's last rocketcapsule to the international space station ....just waiting for the perfect conditions needed to successfully launch!
And.....of course those perfect conditions are just waiting around the corner:
1) noticable upcoming decrease of Corona infection rates in the USA within the next couple of weeks is due,
2) No more large scale lockdowns will be accepted by people worldwide because of all the hugh collateral damage complete lockdowns cause to jobs, economies and mental and physical health (much more damage than Corona causes itself,
3) A huge backlog of blockbuster movies that wil fill up the openingslot from begin end of july till the end of the year Xmas etc.
4) People will really want to get out of the house to a relatively safe public activity (in cinemas people don't sing, shout, or look and move around and space between seats is enough for safe viewing). Going to your supermarket these days is much risky event !!!!
5) Cinema will never die. Those idiots expounding that videostreaming will be the end of cinema just don't seem to get it. Watching a film in a cinema is an experience in itself and no home cinema system will ever beat it as an experience. Just imagine the thrill of Tennet in a cinema where it is supposed to be seen. Tennet on a tv screen is like going fishing in the bathtub....its just not the same as the real thing!
Do you really think the coming Avatar 2 movie will be streamed direct to online videoplatforms????? No way because it is made for 3D viewing on a huge scale and only that effect can be achieved in movie cinemas.
So people hold tight to those wonderfull and exciting Cineworld shares because were gonna go on a fantastic treasure hunt that will be even more rewarding that anything Indiana Jones ever experienced.
Mark my words.....and Action!!!! 2 pounds Christmas 2020!!!
If it does go any lower there seems to be quite a lot of resistance at around 55 - 56p so I can't see it dropping below that imo. Definitely potential over the coming weeks, if we start to see infections drop in the USA which I'm hoping we start to see a bit of a decline by the end of this week and the death rate continues to drop then it helps clear the pathway for theatres to reopen as planned on the 31st which will in turn give the Studios more reason to release their films on time without any further delays. When we get to this stage the only way is up.
Has this stock hit the bottom? It managed a slight rise today despite a 1.5% decline in the FTSE. Now trading at a similar price to what it was towards the end of April and throughout May. Given the previous rally up to 100+ at the start of June, it seems there could be quite a bit of potential over the coming weeks.
