I'm not disagreeing about that.
Cine acted on it tho, unlike amc. We closed up shop. This move cut off a lot of income for the studios. Cine will have saved a fortune by closing. Until studios commit to release dates, im happy that cineworld is closed and saving cash.
Cineworld closed due to lack of content getting released.
Not because tenet did badly.
Now that content is coming back, there is a good possibility that cineworld will reopen their doors (including NY this time) in December. Much sooner than derampers were predicting.
Spot on @Moola. This is not really a rapid rise, it's simply a price correction from the insane 23p SP we went down to last week. We're now trading at a bargain basement 12% of our November 2019 SP.
To put it into perspective AMC, in the USA, who are in a more dire straits than us are trading at 30% of the Pre Covid Nov 19 SP, even after a 12% drop in their SP yesterday, and with their own bad news.
These rises are welcome, but a 2p rise can hardly be looked at as too rapid. Just wait for the 100% SP rise when Mooky announces the Covenant Waiver refinancing deal, that'll be rapid! Good luck all genuine CINE investors.
In-depth change the bloody record. You are becoming very boring! Yaaaawn
Totally irrelevant indep?
Tenet wasn't a big flop, it would have done quite handsomely if the USA were fully open.
The point is that universal have accepted that cinemas need studios, and visa versa. They are releasing movies to cinemas rather than straight to PVOD.
It will get to a point where there arent any people willing to sell for so little.
I agree big spikes can be bad sometimes but othertimes when a share is so undervalued due to uncertainty then it can often be a genuine correction. We're not there yet because the uncertainty hasn't been lifted but expected some big moves up when/if debt waivers are announced. Any plan to steady Cineworlds financial ship will lead to a big shift in sentiment, especially because of the 2021 line up that has deffered the majority of revenue from 2020 into 2021.
Looking good for a 30p breach today. Agree small steady rise over time will be better.
Big spikes are bad news, people will just dump shares, gradual and steady increase is what we need but I think 30p will be breached today
I wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed 30p tbh.
This is looking quite likely.
Perhaps Shorty's daily 20p prediction was just a typo after all?
Yup thats your chance now ins to short... stick to what you say (20p next week) and you should be rich very soon...
I have been avoiding this BB for a while but I see you still haven’t got over your losses yet INSI.
There are plenty of other stocks. I would use your time more productively than harbouring such resentment.
Insi..... so guess you have or will be shorting this..... lol
Be nice to see a 30p close this coming Friday, to make up for last weeks losses.
See this as perfectly possible bearing in mind all the positive news for other Cinema chains, AMC, Cinemark.
To anyone who doesn't have a lot of knowledge about these chains. they all have about the same sort of revenue/debt/profits as us, and they are finding little difficulty in arranging refinancing. Cineworld will be the same. Good luck all genuine investors.
