What is $200m between commentators? :-)
Ahhh I see @RS, indeed @AllKap was correct in that sense.
Apologies on my part.
That is Canadian dollars. I believe, AllKap was referring to USD.
@AllKap, from CINE’s RNS on the 15th December 2021:
“The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has now handed down its judgment. It granted Cineplex's claim, dismissed Cineworld's counter-claim and awarded Cineplex damages of C$1.23 billion for lost synergies to Cineplex and C$5.5 million for lost transaction costs. Cineworld disagrees with this judgment and will appeal the decision.”
I strongly believe in the company, I remain invested and I feel that we are going to be just fine :)
Mountainous it’s $1bn not $1.2bn.
Capex in 2019 was at $380m manage to reduce at $150m for 2021 and Cine will keep it low for the next few years.
Dividend in 2019 was at $180m.
Negative tax to Cine c. $200m
And a cost reduction at $100m per year.
And with all of these do you think lenders will walk away?
I think this has already been at the wrong place at the wrong time, we owe $1.2bn to Cineplex lol
Onwards we press, I am awaiting further funds and once obtained, I intend to put a bit more in CINE. TUI is also looking attractive, so I will conduct some research on them too.
Can't see it staying where it is for there should be two big jumps and this one can bounce very quickly. One if a favourable outcome on dealing with the Dissenting shareholders. The second on obtaining a waiver.
As stated - highly fortuitous that the Box office has picked up massively just at the right time. On the disholders I personally think they have tried to engage and not had much joy and have let the date pass without payment (even though they could have paid up in full out of escrow)
Meanwhiles get out and do what the derampers can't or won't do, go put your custom through @CINE if you can or if you don't have one near you then your local cinemas to support them and the industry. If you want to gauge your investment or dyor then try visiting an @CINE this weekend with the new Thor film opening.
and take a ''pasting". Me thinks, this will stay where it is ish until next year and when the markets plunge on a worse and longer recession than the markets are currently factoring in, this will plunge accordingly. However, it will recover to be a 5-10 "bagger"
